How readest thou???
YES! Dear Dad’s (Randall Hartinger) Bible Breakdown. Blessed!
💥🔥✅📖⬆️🆙☝️✝️🏹🎯🕛💯🔊⚔️🛡️👑⚠️⌚
HOW do you Read your Bible?
10/26 DAILY (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3) Exhortation...
For this 10/26, let us affix this 10/26 betwixt our ears, Dear Brethren.
Luke 10:26 (KJB) He said unto him, What is written in the law? HOW readest thou?
A couple chapters earlier, Jesus said (Luke 8:18), “Take heed therefore HOW ye hear…”
You See, friends, It is not just READING, but HOW we read and taking heed to HOW we hear what we read. Yet not only hearing, but DOING (James 1:22). Jesus said that Pharisees (Professional Organized Religion) will SAY and DO NOT (Matt. 23:3). HYPOCRITES!!!
HOW readest thou?
1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
The Bible says to give attendance unto reading. We are to give it an ATTENTIVE EAR.
Revelation 1:3 pronounces a special blessing upon all those that READ Revelation:
Blessed is he that READETH, and they that HEAR the words of this prophecy, and KEEP those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
I can bear witness to that blessing. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Revelation. I noted, if the history is correct, that John Calvin wrote his Jude commentary in 1542 (22 years before he died) but NEVER wrote a commentary on Revelation. When folks are so overly-allegorical that they dismiss much/most of the literal, then the book of Revelation is a NIGHTMARE to them. Thusly, Calvin wrote commentaries on most books of the Bible and left off Revelation. Hmmmmm…. He could read it. But did he HEAR it? Most today butcher Revelation beyond recognition thusly to follow suit and match moves with the established precedence. TAKE HEED.
Note the progression in Revelation 1:3. We are to READ. Then we are to HEAR. Then we are to KEEP. And herein lays the special blessing.
I’ve also noted that folks that DESIRE to be under the ceremonial law of the O.T. RARELY SEEM TO REALLY READ AND HEAR THAT VERY LAW…
Galatians 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
We are to do all things HEARTILY as unto the Lord and not man (Colossians 3:23). So, we should read and hear and keep the word HEARTILY.
But HOW do we read? Jesus said to TAKE HEED *HOW* YE HEAR.
Whether we eat, drink, or WHATSOEVER we do, we are to do all things TO THE GLORY OF GOD… (1 Cor. 10:31). So, we should read, hear, and keep the word of God to the GLORY OF GOD…
Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey [think BIBLE per Psalms 19, etc.]: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
Never eat the honey of God’s word for your own bragging rights. BOAST IN THE LORD.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
We are to do EVERYTHING in the name of the Lord Jesus and THANKFULLY.
We are to do everything BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD (Zechariah 4:6).
Isaiah 34:16 commands to SEEK YE OUT OF THE BOOK OF THE LORD, AND READ.
Question. What is written in the BIBLE? *HOW* readest thou?
