It’s funny that we brought up campus preaching in our discussions this morning as a family, and then it’s here in my Dad’s charge. That was so funny to see them realize that they’re being self-defeating! 

We MUST judge ourselves FIRST! We must.

02/15 DAILY EXHORTATION (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3)

What can be SEEN in the following 2:15 on this 2/15? 

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

For decades, this has stood as one of my top 100 favourite and most oft-quoted verses of Scripture!!! Why? It is a COMPELLING CALL INTO BEING SPIRITUAL. 

We are called to PROVE ALL THINGS (1 Thess. 5:21; top 10 for me for decades) and hold fast that which is GOOD.  

For years of preaching, say, on college campuses, inevitably one would run up and say, “JUDGE NOT!!!!” And we would proclaim, “STOP JUDGING OUR JUDGING, YOU BUNCH OF JUDGERS!!!!!” 

Jesus wasn’t uttering a self-defeating, self-imploding statement in Matthew 7, but clarified that we must get the beam out of our eye FIRST to see clearly to inspect/judge that mote in our Brother’s eye. Romans 2 likewise condemns HYPOCRITICAL JUDGMENT. Get That. HYPOCRITICAL. 

Pull out the Personal Plank Prior to Plucking Out your Partner's Particle❗ 

Judge all things. Prove all things. This requires some CRITICAL THINKING PROCESSES. God gave us the LAWS OF LOGIC and reasoning FOR A REASON. The laws of logic reflect THE VERY MIND OF GOD. God does everything decently and IN ORDER (1 Cor. 14). 

Few realise this, but a HYPOCRITE is one who is hypo-critical. In short, they are hypo or LOW on their CRITICAL THINKING PROCESSES. Most miss this CRITICAL point. 

Contrary to popular opinion, the only judging that is wrong is HYPOCRITICAL JUDGMENT where one doesn’t judge himself first and foremost, make the necessary corrections, and THEN PROCEED to make critical judgments at others. Do the inward work within and examine yourself first (see 1 Cor. 11; 2 Cor. 13:5) and judge yourself first lest you be judged along with the world. 

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees because they were HYPO-CRITICAL. 

Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and

👉 pass over judgment👈 and the love of God: these OUGHT ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Satan is laughing his head off at the confused  Christian of modernity. When you begin to JUDGE ALL THINGS like you are commanded, folks call you a “Pharisee.” Truth is, the Pharisees PASSED OVER JUDGMENT. One more time with feeling: Pharisees were LOW ON JUDGMENT and thusly HYPO-CRITICAL. To have HYPO-THYROIDISM means your thyroid is LOW on activity. To have HYPOTENSION is to have LOW BLOOD PRESSURE. To be HYPOCRITICAL is to be LOW ON CRITICAL THINKING. LOW. Thusly, the modern church is A BUNCH OF PHARISEES when they are not PROVING ALL THINGS, and BEING SPIRITUAL and JUDGING ALL THINGS. Selah. Muse and peruse. And choose. Choose righteous judgment. 

"One should NEVER judge!" This is a SUICIDAL STATEMENT. Why? It is self-slaying. It is being judgmental about folks being judgmental. 

Our focus passage states/infers that when you are spiritual and judge all things, no man can rightly judge you wrongly with illegitimate scrutiny. 

Hebrews 5:13-14 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

If you DON’T UNDERSTAND JUDGMENT, YOU are *EVIL.* Don’t get mad at me, but mad at the Lord: 

Proverbs 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.  

After 1 Cor. 2:15 cometh this next verse of focus: 

1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Note how WE HAVE The MIND of CHRIST. God’s mind is CRITICAL, CRITIQUING, JUDGING, BUT JUDGING RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT. 

Jesus commanded us TO JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT in John 7:24. Bingo. Bullseye. 

Ecclesiastes 8:4-5 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.

How about YOU 🫵 today? Will you, by Jesus’ grace, power, Spirit, blood, and word, yea, by the Saviour's Favour, BE SPIRITUAL and JUDGE ALL THINGS this day?
