Happy International Ballet Day! Pointe shoe darning/ Easy ballet bun

Here’s some pics on how I darn my pointe shoes. I will not dance in pointe shoes that are not darned for several reasons… They’re safer when they’re darned, the line of the pointed foot looks longer and more beautiful,  and it helps you roll up onto your pointes easier! I would definitely recommend darning your pointe shoes, Ladies! :) (Please excuse my bandaid… ha ha hardworking hands tend to get hurt…) 

Here’s a pic of an easy ballet bun… When we’re serious about ballet (performances and what not) the hair nets and 50 bobby pins and gallon of hair spray comes out (hee hee), but on any normal day (or just practice) we like to put our hair in a pony tail and twirl it up with 4 hair clips! It’s easy and it will stand up to intense pirouettes and crazy stretches.
