HE *WAS NOT* for God TOOK HIM

05/24 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…

Genesis 5:24 (KJB)  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch means “dedicated.” Enoch lived 365 years (predicting in type the 365 day Gentile years). This is verse 24 pointing to something simple yet PROFOUND. God expects a DEDICATED life of walking with Him 365 days a year, and 24 hours a day!!!! This DAILY JESUS WALK is a FAITH WALK. 

Genesis 37:30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

Gen. 42:36 And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

Joseph is a type of Christ in multitudes of particulars. As His body, we are thrown into the pit by the brethren due to the Father’s favour. But one day, it will be said that WE ARE NOT. For God TOOK US to our promotion. 

Jer. 31:15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because THEY WERE NOT.

Mainly focus here that the children “were not.” In type, they were taken away from the evil to come. No time to unpack that much, but lookie here at two verses later that most miss: 

Jer 31:17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.

All those children killed by Herod during Christ’s day ARE COMING BACK. So help me, God in heaven, sure as you live and breathe, it SHALL BE FULFILLED DEAD ON THE MONEY down to the EXACT NUMBER that God allowed to be killed. 

Mt 2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because THEY ARE NOT.

2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Enoch was the father of Methuselah. Methuselah means “When he dies, it shall be sent.” The flood came the same year Methuselah died at 969 years. Thusly, the longsuffering of God is displayed as God allows him to live the longest. Noah likewise WALKED WITH GOD and was lifted up ABOVE THE WRATH OF THE EARTH. 

Gen. 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Jude calls Enoch the “SEVENTH FROM ADAM.” 7 in Bible Numerics is DIVINE PERFECTION. 

Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. [Note the 7 there!]

Zechariah 10:12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

2Ki 20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

By God’s good timing, I was thinking upon this passage above in bed this AM, before realizing which verse construction would land me into this study!!!! DAILY JESUS WALK. <3

Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

Death or rapture, God will SPARE His elect (see Malachi 3:16-18), etc. 

We were campus preaching once, and a professing atheist walked by and said, “I sure wish the rapture would hit and you Christians would get out of here!!” It is imperative that we be a “good sport” so to speak. I stopped him and said I appreciated his wit and introduced myself and he gave me his name and when I shook hands with him, I held that shake a bit and locked eyes and said, “You think we are NUTS, don’t you?” He said, “Yes.” I said, “When these nuts get caught up out of here, you SQUIRRELS WILL BE UP A TREE.” It seemed a fruitful convo ensued as I explained further. 

Let the reprobates reprobate, the haters hate, the railers rail, but WALK WITH GOD. When writing this, I was praying for enemies day before as I called upon God’s “mercy from everlasting to everlasting” and awoke next day to see that the Bible Gateway verse of the day is Psalms 103:17-18 which is the very passage. Friends, be “DEDICATED” like Enoch, walk before Him, please God, get the Favour of the Father’s Fret-Free Forehead Face shining upon you, and one day, from this world's perspective, you will BE NOT. –r <3
