Always White?
Dear Dad’s (Randall Hartinger) Bible today. ENJOY!
π₯π₯✝️⬆️π☝️☑️ππ―πΉπ―π‘️⚔️⚓π―π❤️⚠️
IT TAKES HEAT TO GET THE WRINKLES/SPOTS OUT!!!
09/08 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3).
For this 9/8, chew on this 9:8, Beloved saints.
Ecclesiastes 9:8 (KJB) Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
Ever notice how the smallest spot on a white garment REALLY SHOWS UP? We must strive by God’s grace and power and Spirit to live SPOTLESS. This only comes by God’s OINTMENT/ANOINTING. Remember, the "the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing" (Isaiah 10:27). Unless (ahem), you use newer versions, which says that the yoke is broken BECAUSE YOU HAVE GROWN SO FAT (NIV, ESV, HCSB, etc...) Really helpful, huh? Another subject altogether.... But.... We need God's precious ointment/anointing ON OUR HEADS.
Ecclesiastes 10:1 Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
Providentially, when I wrote this, my family and I discussed this at length that day (before I realized I would bring this Eccl. 9:8 focus):
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Jude says we are to HATE the garment spotted by the flesh.
2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Ephesians 5:25-27 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
God says of His Bride in Song of Solomon 4:7… “Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.”
2 Cor. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
The foolish virgins in Matt. 25 RAN OUT OF OIL. The “white garments” are the “righteousness of the saints.” Of course, Rev. 19 states that His wife “hath made herself ready” and that to her was “granted that she be arrayed in fine linen, WHITE AND CLEAN…” In short, GOD GIVES US THE WHITE GARMENTS, AND YET EXPECTS US TO BE READY. Are you?
PRESS IN, HAVE PRESSED GARMENTS (NO WRINKLES), PURE, HOLY, WHITE, AND LACK NO OINTMENT this day, Beloved BRIDE OF CHRIST.
Ecclesiastes 9:8 – BE IT UNTO ME ACCORDING TO THY WORD, O LORD!!! –r <3
