Don’t be Numb to the Numbers!!!

09/02 Daily Exhortation (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)…

Herein lays a 9:2 Verse Construction for 9/2…

Mark 9:2 (KJB)  And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

Note the 9:2 construction and “after six days” and now watch this parallel account with a 9:2 and an 8 (9:28)…

Luke 9:28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

The skeptics (fools; see Ps. 14, etc.) pounce. Was it “after six days” or “about an eight days?” IT WAS BOTH. It was SEVEN DAYS. Seven is AFTER SIX DAYS and is “about eight days.” So, why does God inspire such a difference? Simply put, to drive home some numbers, and to catch the self-prudent in the TREACHEROUS TRUTH TRAP (a whole ‘nother teaching; Isaiah 28, etc.)

You see, Jesus is taking the INNER THREE (Peter, James, and John) to Transfiguration mount which symbolizes His glorious SECOND COMING. This is why Moses and Elijah (the two witnesses of Revelation 11) are there. 

In Bible numerics, 6 points to MAN and 7 to Divine Perfection and 8 to NEW BEGINNINGS. 

Get this… 

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Peter said to NOT BE IGNORANT OF THIS ONE THING. GET IT. So, the “week” of 7 days represents 7000 years of history. After the 6000th year, Jesus comes back to the Mount of Olives (See Zech.14 and Rev.19) for a day (1000 years) of rest. Man has 6000 years. Man was created on the 6th day. The 6th book of the New Testament is Romans and in the 6th chapter in the 6th verse, and 6 words in, you have “man.” But DIVINE PERFECTION Himself will set up His kingdom for the 7000th year. Then comes NEW BEGINNINGS (8th day; He will create a new heaven and a new earth). God will give you “up against” numbers ALL THROUGHOUT THE SCRIPTURES to drive points home with things like “forty stripes save one” etc. 

I exhort you today TO NOT BE NUMB TO THE NUMBERS. 

Mathematics reflects the very mind of God and He imposes this upon His creation. God’s numbers are all over the Bible. Why, He even names a book “Numbers.” Numbers regulate the universe. 

Press into the INNER THREE, yea, the inner two (Peter and John), and inner one (John). Peter is the one who said to make sure you DID NOT MISS the day/1000 years connection. But John, on the isle of Patmos, gets SERIOUS NUMBERS in Revelation. 

Today, appreciate God’s addition, muse upon God’s mathematics, familiarize yourself with God’s figures, know His numbers…

Mark 6:52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

THE MULTIPLYING MIRACLE WAS MISSING IN THEIR MEMORY. 

Therefore, it takes a hardened heart to discount the COUNTS. Ask God for a newfound numerical knowledge this day.
