Atheists and the Problem of Evil

Here is our answer to this Atheistic Chart depicted... It reminds me of campus preaching and we'd invite students/professors to a friendly challenge of "Stump the Redneck Preacher" and these type arguments would inevitably be forthcoming....

First, the Diagram itself proves God’s existence regardless of non sequitur flaws of logic, etc.  In order to have order there must be chronological laws of mathematics, logic, reason, etc. which cannot be justified in the atheistic world. There could be no diagrams without the Deity of Biblical Christianity. This chart was intelligently-designed which pre-supposes intelligence and design, which assumes laws of reason, which assumes abstract, intangible, universal laws governing thought, which assumes a Governing God and Lawmaker, which demands the Christian God of the Bible, which has one-punch knocked out every Major Contender that has ever stepped into the ring. Laws do not grow in nature, logic is not observed empirically via the scientific method, etc. 

There can be no “problems” in a Naturalistic, Atheistic universe. For there to be a problem means there is an absolute standard of truth and thusly a “should.” In rearranged pond scum and chemical reactions, there can be no intrinsic truth. One chemical reaction is not “true” and another “false.” In short, the atheistic universe is imaginary and does not exist in reality.

 “Evil” needs the law of identity employed. Evil can mean moral evil, or calamity, or both. The chart does not allow for a distinguishing which lends itself to equivocation, exclusion of contrary evidence, fork in the road false dilemmas, and the list goes on.

 To say “God is thought to be” they assume “thoughts” presupposing laws of reason which cannot be justified/accounted for in atheism. They are truth-trespassing and stealing from the Christian Biblical Theist’s worldview in order to argue anything. The symmetry of the chart presupposes balance, order, beauty – all of which only makes sense in a Christian worldview. Thusly, we will answer from that worldview since they stepped into our universe, worldview, and ring…

Moving along, “omni-benevolent” as in “all good” is loaded. God commands “Behold the GOODNESS *AND* SEVERITY OF GOD…” (Romans 11:22). God says He will remove all evil and suffering one day. Now, we are getting into the Primary will of God, the Secondary will of God, and on. Evil/suffering exists for reasons sufficient to God. If God removed all evil immediately, he would remove the maker of the chart, the chart, etc. and man would murmur that his freewill was violated and that God wasn’t good. The chart-maker’s arguments are thusly “autobiographical” in nature. In short, they are writing their own script and removing God from it though belief in the Christian God necessitates every factor involved in the process of writing, grammar, biogenesis,  etc.  

God has eternal purposes to permit sin and thusly suffering. He reserves the right to make man/cherubim/angels with the ability to sin, foreknowing this, that otherwise dormant aspects of His Being can come forth. For example, suffering allows Him to be the Comforter, God of Consolation, Healer, etc. Sin allows His forgiveness, mercy, wrath, justice, jealousy, and manifold attributes otherwise latent. In short, God reserves the right to get the MOST GLORY due His name for reasons sufficient to Him. 

God “wants” to, “knows how” to, and is “able” to remove evil and suffering, but this needs contingents which the “stacked deck” maker of the chart will not allow. The fallacy of hasty generalization is employed. We call this "the Food in the Fridge Fallacy." In short, it is easy to prove food in the fridge, but not easy to prove more complex paradoxes, etc. God promises that He will eventually remove evil/suffering in most cases (there will be eternal suffering in hell for those that hate the God they deny). For a testing/probationary period, for reasons sufficient to Him, evil/suffering is permitted and often planned and perpetuated by God Himself (evil as in calamity which is the opposite of peace versus evil as in the opposite of good). Though not in question format, the chart-maker infers the fallacy of loaded question. God does NOT want to remove His wrath forever. Man would have lived for ever (tree of life) in sin. Every sinful man wants eternal life of sin. Given the opportunity, sinning angels, cherubim, and man would sin forever, so they must be justly punished forever.  

The atheist/agnostic does not want God to reveal Himself fully, so in autonomous fashion, set forth to dictate to God what attributes He must suppress to satisfy them. This is self-defeating and presupposes the very God they hate. Love is more magnified when there is hate, mercy is magnified when there is wrath, as contrast makes God’s attributes more glorious. Wanting to rob God of His glory, sinful man makes such diagrams to hold the truth in unrighteousness and excuse sin.  On Judgment Day, God will decide whether the unrepentant maker of the chart is the true “god” or Himself, and the chart-maker will give account for stealing from the Christian’s worldview, etc.
