Faithfulness? / Sad… :(

Very important and good word from Dad today! I love that phrase:

“One trait of a faithful man is fearing God.”

Yes!!! So true. And what a SAD generation of unfaithfulness we live in now. -Hope ❤️❤️❤️

Abide in the Calling. 

07/20 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3). 

Here is a 7:20 CONSTRUCTION FOR INSTRUCTION for 7/20… 

1 Corinthians 7:20 (KJB) Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

Let’s pull an application for 7/20 from this passage. 

720 reminds me of two 360’s. Take a look around you. Now again. Do a 720 degree look. Be circumspect. See faithful men? See godly men? Women? Young ladies? Young men? 

WHAT is going on? See and Sense anything WRONG?

Psalm 12:1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

Proverbs 20:6 “…but a faithful man who can find?” 

“Godly” means “like God.” And the Bible says that God is “faithful” (1 Cor. 10:13) and His name is FAITHFUL AND TRUE (Rev. 3:14; 19:11) and His word is “faithful and true” (Rev. 21:5; 22:6). 

Back to our focus passage. 

1 Corinthians 7:20 (KJB) Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

The ministry these days feels more like dentistry. Why? It’s like PULLING TEETH to get folks to abide in their calling. 

Personally, God called me and others to start a work here in the Roanoke Valley about 3 decades back – to just be faithful in the few things and raise up godly seed. There were so many people involved in that initial calling, most all of which forsook that call usually due to the “depths of Satan” (Rev. 2) or Jezebel or loving this present world like Demas, etc. 

When you have CONCRETE CONVICTION in a CONFIDENT CALLING, the battle will ensue. The test is: “Will you abide in that calling come hell or high water?” 

CONSISTENCY. Something YOU MUST HAVE, and something your enemies MUST NOT HAVE (except that they are consistent enemies of what is right, faithful, and true). 

2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Seems the biggest enemy of 2 Timothy 2:2 is folks not obeying 2 Timothy 2:22 to “FLEE YOUTHFUL LUSTS…*WITH THEM* that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” Note the inferred ASSEMBLY or strength in partnership. Satan must attack that.  

Satan has broken the chain and found the weak link. DESTROY FAITHFULNESS and destroy a marriage, destroy a family, destroy a local church, etc. The scriptures cannot be broken. The cup of evil is about to overflow. Faithful men, women, children are RARE. Ever wonder what genders faithfulness? One trait of a FAITHFUL MAN is FEARING GOD. 

Even as 720 truncates down to 72, think of this: Nehemiah 7:2 says of a man, “…for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.” 

What is WRONG WITH this Antichrist, unfaithful, inconsistent generation that CANNOT ABIDE IN THEIR CALLING? Verily, these are the very last days that the Bible prophesied would come. 

If you are not abiding in your calling, you partake in the FALLING.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 says that the day of the end of this age shall not come until Antichrist is revealed and “there come a FALLING AWAY first.” We are in that falling away. Seems everybody I knew that was on fire for God 3 decades ago are now on the shelf spiritually, backslidden, under the spell of Jezebel, not breaking the habits of Ahab, addicted to anything and everything but the ministry of the saints, head over heels in love with the world, the flesh, the devil, sports, Hellywood, etc.  

This 7/20, take a 720 look around. DON’T BE LIKE THIS UNFAITHFUL GENERATION, AND ABIDE IN YOUR CALLING (Romans 12:1-2, etc.).
