Saved TO sin?! / Nice charge!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaamen! Very good and super important charge today from Dad! What a sad generation of Christians that we live in. Kinda like what Grandpa Ruckman said, “The World is full of worthless Christians.”

How sad that they want to defend sin!!!

Saved FROM Sin or Saved TO Sin? 

07/09 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)

On this 7/9, here is a 7:9 Construction for Instruction Exhortation for Edification…

Jeremiah 7:9 is our focus passage and here is the context…

Jeremiah 7:8 (KJB) Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

Jeremiah 7:9 (KJB) Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

Jeremiah 7:10 (KJB) And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

“Saved” is another word for “Delivered.” Whenever you trust in lying words, your profitability decreases. This is a Satanic Strategy. John 17:17 says, “Thy word is truth.” God’s words, the scriptures, the Bible, are THE TRUTH. 

Note our focus passage. They were stealing, murdering, committing adultery, swearing falsely, and burning incense to gods they knew not. They felt they were “delivered” or saved TO DO ALL THESE ABOMINATIONS. 

This is the modern church at its finest. Peter said in Acts to save ourselves from this untoward generation. Colossians 3:5 calls covetousness “idolatry.” 1 Cor. 5 says not to so much as eat with a brother that is covetous. Coveting is stealing in the heart. Hatred is murder in the heart (1 John 3:15). 

Proverbs 26:28 says, “A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it…” When a person lies to you, they are hating you, which is murder in the heart. This is why Satan is called the “father of lies” and a “murderer” in John 8:44. 

In my 3 decades of serving Jesus, we have encountered some interesting (ahem) Christians. We have known ones to steal another’s spouse and children, hate (murder in the heart) their former spouses via adultery, lie to all regarding this, swear falsely regarding such matters, etc. We must dramatically distance ourselves from this unprofitable and vain Christianity PER THE BIBLE. God calls them “unprofitable servants” (Matthew 25:30). We pray daily for them and that God lay it not to their charge, that God grant repentance and show mercy but alas and at last, God will deal with the matter(s) and not one iota or whisper of repentance from any of them. Not ONE. Thusly, welcome to the prophesied “falling away.” BUCKLE YOUR BIBLE BELTS AND BRACE YOURSELVES for the impact when God says the cup of evil is finally full and declares “ENOUGH!” Til then, pray, seek, love mercy, love the word, love the Lord Jesus Christ supremely. 

Focus passage. Watch this. Burning incense is metaphorically symbolic of prayer in the Bible (Psalms 141:2; Rev. 8:3-4). Baal means “Lord.” All the while doing these type of activities, these type folks are praying to the “Lord.” But when involved in such sins, they are praying to the wrong Lord. They think they are “delivered” to do such. QUITE THE CONTRARY.  We were campus preaching once and a young man actually said and seemed quite sincere and puzzled: “I thought Jesus died SO THAT WE *COULD* SIN?! 👀‼️⁉️” This is such a profoundly confused generation. 

If Jesus is your Lord, you have repented of all such abominations. You are DELIVERED to do His delight. 

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

On this 7/9, be an excellent-spirit exception to this generation. Be delivered/saved TO DO GOD’S DELIGHT.
