THE REDEEMER'S RECIPE...
08/28 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Luke 11:3; Matt. 6:11)…
For 8/28, to follow is an 8:28 Construction for Instruction and my two widow’s mites (two cents worth) for today:
Romans 8:28 (KJB) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
There are 15 verse constructions with an 8:28 setup. What do we mean by FIFTEEN? 15 in Bible Numerics points to the GOSPEL and to Christ (5+5+5 and "Christ" is 555 times in the Bible, etc.). Those that love God (Christ) and are “the called” via the Gospel call, have an “exceeding great and precious promise” (2 Peter 1:4) in this passage.
What promise? The promise is that “all things work together for good.”
Some like to cook without a recipe book. Fine. But we have a PERFECT RECIPE BOOK called the BIBLE. You cannot improve upon PERFECTION. And the biggest enemy of the BEST is the GOOD. Selah.
In our household, whenever we see the time of 8:28 AM or PM, we think Romans 8:28…
Will you ask the Potter to spin the wheel, and mold some malleable and manageable and mold-able meer mud and clay into a vessel unto honour this 8/28 day?
What is the REDEEMER’S RECIPE?
Ever eaten raw flour, raw eggs, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, butter? None of these are delicious and palatable in and of themselves. But they “work together” for a “good” cake by the cake-maker after a heated trial in the oven. What comes forth has a sweet-smelling savour which is terrific to the taste-buds.
Even so, we are being tried EVERY MOMENT (Job 7:18). If you can see the woven tapestry of God’s providence in your life, in the midst of bitter betrayal and bedevilment, fickle fair-weather faux/foe friends and fake family, those who spit upon discipleship / the local church, ferocious fights with the fierce/ravenous lion of Satan and his minions, daily crosses, hardships, etc., you are blessed to have such revelations of the REDEEMER’S RECIPE. God is WORKING ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD as the called who LOVE THE LORD with every fiber of our being. <3
Another Romans 8 passage has been a “go to” passage in my heart/household for 3 decades…
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Daily Jesus Walk. At 8:18 PM last night with family, I thought of Rom. 8:18 and BOOM - in today's resurrected charge.
When we get to heaven, we will see the Father’s great wisdom in allowing some of the nastiest people imaginable into your life, allowing you to minister to slimy sulfur-laden Jezzes and Judases, etc. The reward is not worthy of a contrast to any and all sufferings on this side. It will be SWALLOWED UP INTO ETERNITY. Even now, there is JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY when God grants daily tokens for good and our Jesus walk gets SWEETER BY THE DAY.
Even so... LOVE GOD, AND OBEY THE CALL.
2 Peter 1:9-11
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Will you, this 8/28 day, be the RECIPIENT of the Recipe of Romans 8:28?

ReplyDeleteAmen, good thoughts! It certainly helps us to be strong in difficult trials when we think of things in this way.
