Retaining Heavenly Honour and Rich Rewards above? 

11/16 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…

For this 11/16, let’s GLEAN from this 11:16…

Proverbs 11:16 (KJB) A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

A WOMAN (church in type) FULL OF GOD’S GRACE WILL *RETAIN* HONOUR. A STRONG MAN OF VALOUR WILL *RETAIN* RICHES. 

Matthew 26:13 (KJB) Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Mary of Bethany broke the alabaster box and anointed Jesus’ head, it ran down His beard, and ran down His garments to His feet (Psalms 133, etc.). Judas, the Betrayer, in his father Simon’s house, tried to slander/rail against her (devil means slanderer). Jesus put her in HIGH HONOUR as a type of His Bride and put the Judases in their place finally and forever. 

Mary of Bethany wanted to stay at Jesus’ feet and learn. This is a place of high honour. Her sister, Martha, was too busy to be at Jesus’ feet (like Professional Churches today, etc.)

 

Lu 10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Note that it WILL NOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER. She “retaineth” honour. 

Lu 11:21-22 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

Are you a STRONG MAN that retains your heavenly riches/rewards? If you think you are a strong man and trusting in your fleshly armour, the strongman Satan will overthrow you. Leviathan (Satan) is a KING over all the children of pride (Job 41) and Satan is the spirit which now worketh in the children of disobedience (Eph.2). When the hedge is broken, you are NOT STRONGER. 

 

Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward…

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Boaz (Kinsman Redeemer type of Christ) says to Ruth (Bride of Christ in type): 

Ruth 2:12  The LORD recompense thy work, and a FULL REWARD be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

If you disciple people that betray you, you can fret that it was all in vain. God will still reward you, but it’s not as rewarding on this side (very vexing). Paul wanted a rich reward, yet he stood in doubt of some Galatians… 

Galatians 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

Galatians 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

Instead of CASTING AWAY your crowns via sinful pursuits, betraying Christ and His Body (including the local church), etc., HAVE SOMETHING TO CAST AT JESUS’ FEET. Also, don’t be a CASTAWAY (1 Cor. 9:27)… 

Revelation 4:4,10 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne…

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS VERSE TO FOLLOW.....

Revelation 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

AHHHH, JESUS. The Blessed AND ONLY POTENTATE, THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Crown Him with MANY CROWNS!!!!
