Dear Dad’s (Randall Hartinger) Bible Breakdown today. BLESSED!

Reprobation...
11/03 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…
For this 11/3, what can we see in this 11:3?
Ecclesiastes 11:3 (KJB) “…if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.”
Ever walk through a forest and a fallen, dead tree is there? Is there really any hope for that fallen, dead tree?
Trees represent men.
Mark 8:24 (KJB) And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
You see, men are likened unto TREES often in the Bible. God oft speaks in similitudes (see Hos. 12:10, etc.). When one wants to find out their genealogy, they research their FAMILY TREE. Psalms 1 likens a godly man who meditates on the word of God day and night as A TREE planted by the rivers of waters...
Judges 9 has a Parable of the Trees where the trees are personified. The King James has a nugget where the grape vine is called the VINE TREE. LOADED!!!! God likens His disciples to branches growing on the vine (John 15). God calls Israel a fig tree and an olive tree (Jer. 24; Matt. 24; Romans 11, etc.).
Ecclesiastes 11:3 speaks of reprobation in that where a tree FALLETH, there it shall be. Pharaoh is likened unto a tree (Ezek. 31). Nebuchadnezzar is likened unto a tree (Daniel 4).
In the tabernacle, when you have the wood overlaid with gold, this typifies God (gold) manifested in the flesh (wood) as the Lord Jesus Christ.
But man is continually paralleled with trees.
Isaiah 1:30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf…
Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matthew 7: 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
The flesh is likened unto wood (1 Cor. 3 and 2 Tim. 2). Fleshly works will be burned up at the Judgment(s). In light of this typology, the follow verse has been extremely profound to me for decades now:
2 Samuel 18:8 For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.
Carnality destroys more people than any other weapon. Especially here in the end times. So much “ministry” is really just wood industry. FLESHLY WORKS ARE WORTHLESS. A man is not crowned except he strive LAWFULLY (2 Tim. 2:5).
Our focus passage again teaches that when that tree FALLS, it remains there. The Bible teaches a point of reprobation and a point of no return. Hebrews 6:4-6 speaks of those that “fall away” and it is “impossible…to renew them again unto repentance.” The Bible speaks of a sin unto death, a doing despite unto the Spirit of grace, a vexing the Holy Spirit, a point where the conscience is seared and God hardens the heart, a point where one’s faith is made shipwreck (and you don’t mend a wrecked ship).
In this age of apostasy and prophesied “falling away” and prophesied famine of hearing God’s words, I implore you, I beseech you, I exhort you, DON’T FALL.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy (Jude 1:24), -r <3
