Satisfied Yet???

The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me ...

Does God create evil??? 😈

Did you bring that evil upon YOURSELF?

11/17 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)

This 11/17, what is oft UNSEEN in this 11:17?

Jeremiah 11:17 (KJB) For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.

Basic take away from this focus passage: God pronounces evil against folks FOR THE EVIL THEY HAVE DONE AGAINST GOD AND THEMSELVES. Let’s unpack this a bit.

In early modern English, the word “evil” doesn’t always mean the opposite of moral good. Evil can mean the opposite of PEACE or in other words, calamity/storms, etc.

Skeptics/atheists (before salvation, I professed this) oft like to quote the following verse to state that God is the author of moral evil:

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Note God DOES NOT say he makes GOOD and creates evil. He says that He makes PEACE and creates evil. Thusly, this is the “evil” which is calamity or OPPOSITE OF PEACE. We know this contrast from several verses of scripture…

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Remember when Jesus rebuked a storm and said, “PEACE, BE STILL”? The opposite of peace is a tempestuous storm (calamity type of evil).

So, in our focus passage, God pronounces judgment EVIL (calamity, punishment) against the house of Israel/Judah because of the MORAL EVIL which they did against themselves and Him. God especially hates BAAL WORSHIP which was introduced into Israel by JEZEBEL. But any idolatry brings a pronouncement of CALAMITY EVIL from God if one doesn’t REPENT.

By the way, Baal means “lord” (pointing to the Lord of the Flies or Beelzebub) and incense points to prayer in type. So, many praying to the “lord” are NOT PRAYING TO THE LORD. Especially those petitioning against God’s holy saints. They are praying to the false lord (the Devil).

Don’t be hooked by skeptics and doubters of God’s word. God is not morally evil. The “evil” He pronounces is punishment. None of this is God’s PRIMARY WILL. God’s primary will is goodness rather than severity (Romans 11), peace rather than the storm, etc. Man is to blame and he DID IT TO HIMSELF. And no matter what, don’t put ANYTHING above God, which is IDOLATRY.

1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Are you eschewing evil, doing good, seeking peace, and ensuing it ? (see 1 Peter 3:11), -r <3
