Charging for Mini$try? 

08/18 Daily (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3) Exhortation. 

For today, Tuesday, 8/18, here is an 8:18 “Construction for Instruction” (2 Tim. 3:16)…

Acts 8:18 (KJB) And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money…

The Most important things in life CANNOT BE PURCHASED.

Read that again...

One trick the Devil has pulled is getting folks to take a body of believers (local church) and turn it into a business. Turning a body into a business is HARLOTRY. 

Read that again. 

The 5 foolish virgins of Matthew 25 are off trying to buy more oil for their lamps (symbol of the Holy Ghost) and they miss the Bridegroom and get denied.

Read that again. 

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees (Professional organized religion) for selling oxen and doves. Oxen points to the pastor/elder (“Muzzle not the ox which treadeth out the corn…”). A dove typifies the Holy Ghost. The “anointing” is not something purchased. Jesus said the Father’s House (points in type to the church, the pillar and ground of the truth; 1 Tim. 3:15) was turned into a den of thieves and He overthrew the tables of the moneychangers. 

In Judges 16:16-19, the Philistines “brought money in their hand” to destroy Samson’s anointing conspiring with Jezebel Delilah. In Acts 16:16-19 (exact verse construction), the anointing of Paul destroys the money-making Jezebel setup.  Two polar opposites. 

Simply put, money and the anointing do not go hand in hand. You do not purchase the Holy Ghost. 

Similarly, the “spirit of wisdom” cannot be purchased. 

Proverbs 17:16 Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

This is the issue with seminary (not in the Bible). Does one PAY for a gift of the Holy Ghost? Of course not. Paul said, “Him finding me faithful, PUTTING ME INTO THE MINISTRY.” Paul called all his carnal credentials but dung. 

Hebrews says that Jesus glorified not Himself to be made a high priest “after the law of a carnal commandment.” 

8=New Beginnings and 18=Antichrist. Remember that Judas sold his anointing (see Matthew 10) for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus was Holy Ghost baptized at age 30. Which do you choose? On this 8/18, it can be a new beginning (8) of 6+6+6 (18), or a new beginning of 9+9 (double fruitfulness of the Spirit). YOUR CHOICE. 

Profe$$ional Church can only go but so far. The Bible model is the PRIMARY WILL OF GOD. The rest is wood, hay, stubble and doesn’t produce the treasures on the other side. Verily, Verily, THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD here. But the TRUE RICHES are on the other side of eternity laid up in heaven. 

Stop trying to BUY A GIFT. Stop trying to buy the Spirit or the gifts of the Spirit. 

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Today, purpose to avoid the PITFALLS OF PROFESSIONAL CHURCH and lay up treasures above. I exhort you to be CLEAN RICH WITH HEAVENLY REWARD TODAY.  Do not be as Simon the sorcerer manipulating your surroundings with money (etc.) Peter rebuked him soundly: 

Acts 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

I love Abraham’s heart here: 

Gen. 14:22-23 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich…

Are you zealous for the glory of God or to glorify man-made organizations? Prove it. 

Money cannot buy the Holy Ghost OR the fruits/gifts of the Holy Ghost.
