The Hedge of Protection

08/31 DAILY EXHORTATION (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11;  Luke 11:3)

Here is an 8:31 thought for this 8/31 (Construction for Instruction). 

The following two verses (yes, God gave us chapter/verse divisions!) are from the SAME event of a man possessed with a legion of devils. Look how the devils react to Jesus: 

Matthew 8:31 (KJB)  So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

Luke 8:31 (KJB) And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

“Besought” is past tense of “beseech” which means to fervently ask to do something. 

Firstly, by God’s AMAZING HAND OF PROVIDENCE you have the overlap from Matthew and Luke and chapter and verse numbering came later by God’s hand of Providence. Moreover, in both verses, the devils “besought” Jesus.

⚠️‼️DAILY JESUS WALK ALERT‼️⚠️ I literally taught my family yesterday evening on these very passages with no thought they would be resurrected in today's charge from yesteryear. 👀☝️

Did you know that devils must oft get permission from God in order to do such and such? In Job, Satan had to get God’s permission to attack Job. There was a protective “hedge” in place. 

Ephesians 4:27 teaches that WE can give devils permission.

Eccl. 10:8 says, “…whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him…” 

Satan is accusing the brethren before the throne of God day and night (Rev. 12:10). He is looking for an access point – a broken hedge via willful sin. His desire is that the hedge be removed altogether. 

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Will you RELOCATE to Job 28 to that place where the vulture (symbol of devils) cannot see and the fierce lion (symbol of Satan) cannot trod?

⚠️DAILY JESUS WALK ALERT⚠️ I literally just prayed yesterday aloud with family that we would relocate to Job 28 NOT KNOWING the next day I would resurrect this date's charge! Wow, and it is 8:31 AM that I type this! 

There is great comfort in the Sovereign Omnipotence of God in that your enemies (physical and spiritual) have a Court-ordered Restraining/Protective order from the Throne of the Universe. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS *JESUS WALK*... While they are sinning, they are easy-pickings for Satan. While you are living right, pressing into God’s will, you are protected. Certainly, you will suffer persecution and must take up the cross of Judas persecution DAILY, but the parameters are set. 

To illustrate, I often enjoy watching my Siamese Seal Point, Asher, at the sliding glass door at our deck every day. We have many country critters congregated daily. Squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies, birds of all sorts, etc. Ash will be tormented grievously with the desire to get them while the Lord prepares a table for them in the presence of their enemies. Bunnies and Squirrels have literally stuck their nose up against his to the glass to curiously peer in. This “invisible” barrier keeps the cute critters from definite death and destruction. This is how the spiritual realm works. God has this hedge. They are watching constantly desiring greatly to destroy, but CANNOT. 

If God wants to test us with an onslaught, so be it. We must stand strong and like Job, come forth as gold. But willful sin brings the bedevilment in. 

All the enemy can do is BESEECH Jesus for permission, and one should pray daily THAT THEIR PETITIONS BE QUASHED BY THE JUDGE VIA EXECUTIVE COURT ORDER. 

Will you have an “excellent spirit” like Daniel, and trust God to shut the mouths of the lions? Are you on Wanted Posters in every post office in hell? The devil said, “Paul we know” in Acts 19. 

Luke 22:31-32 31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

King James nugget: “you” is plural and “thee” is singular. Satan was asking for ALL OF THE 12. Jesus was praying for Peter to keep his faith and strengthen the brethren later (in Acts 2, Peter rose up strong). 

Will you fare well in the sifting? Providence: We studied this sifting yesterday as a family. Here 'TIS again‼️ DAILY ‼️Jesus said in John 14:30 “…the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” DON’T GIVE SATAN PLACE this day by walking IN CHRIST JESUS after the Spirit and not after the flesh (Romans 8:1) so you can claim Romans 8:31 this 8/31… “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
