On this 8/1, here is an 8:1 verse Construction for Instruction…
Exodus 8:1 (KJB) And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
In Bible numerics, 8 points to NEW BEGINNINGS. May this 8th month of August be filled with NEW BEGINNINGS, church.
In typology, Egypt is emblematic of the WORLD and Pharaoh figures SATAN.
Exodus 8:8 (double new beginnings) indicates that being let go is for the reason of doing SACRIFICE unto God. Romans 12 says we are to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto God which is our reasonable service.
Were we set free to do as WE please, or to do as God pleases?
Jeremiah 7:9-10 “9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?”
Did God save/deliver/rescue us TO DO ALL THESE ABOMINATIONS? I say, Nay. More importantly, "What saith the scriptures?" (Gal. 4:30; Romans 4:3).
Romans 6:17-18 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
God doesn’t SAVE you from the bondage of Egypt (world/flesh/devil) so you can do what you jolly well please. God saves/delivers you TO SERVE HIM in this newness of life.
Here is another 8:1 construction…
Romans 8:1 (KJB) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
See that part “who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”? That’s been REMOVED from most modern translations (NIV, ESV, NASV, etc.). Satan doesn’t want you to know the CONDITION of the promise.
‼️⚠️DAILY JESUS WALK ALERT ⚠️‼️ Just yesterday, we were discussing how even some so-called KJV folk will preach Romans 8:1 AND LEAVE OFF THE CONDITION AT THE END and thusly line hell with lying. They will give account for deceiving their hearers sure as you live and breathe. BANK ON IT.
May this month be a new beginning of a refreshed zeal to SERVE CHRIST with our whole anatomy.
You can tell when one is SET FREE. Ecclesiastes 8:1 (another 8:1 for today) says, “…A man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.”
God commanded Satan to LET YOU GO, and now you WORSHIP/SERVE GOD with the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free! A real Christian desires to be FREE FROM SIN, not to SIN FREELY. Serve God with a sincere spirit and sanctified soul this NEW DAY of a NEW MONTH by His blood, grace, and Spirit.
