Want a REWARD from the LORD but you are UNTOWARD and FROWARD?
This is an “untoward generation” per Acts 2:40. They are NOT TOWARD THE LORD. They are FROWARD. But, they seem to “think” they will get something from God…
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The Law of the Harvest DICTATES –YEA, MANDATES that there will be NO SHORTCUTS.
1 Corinthians 3 teaches that any “ministry” that is not according to God’s law is NOT VALUABLE TO GOD but is wood, hay, and stubble to FAIL THE TRIAL BY FIRE. Only what is LAWFUL will abide the Day of the Lord.
In short, GOD ONLY ACCEPTS THE SACRIFICES OF HIS CHOOSING.
God rejected Cain’s offering from the ground. Why? God required a blood sacrifice (Abel offered the firstlings of the flock in the O.T. sacrificial system). The ground pointed to that which is devilish, and the corrupted wisdom from beneath.
God only seeks that which is born of His Spirit (John 3, John 4, Eph. 6:18; Jude 1:20, etc.)…
Hebrews 13:15 *By him* [NOTE IT IS ONLY BY GOD] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Even our altar of incense (prayer) must be lit from the altar of sacrifice (FROM GOD).
FLESHLY WORKS ARE NEVER ACCEPTED BY GOD. NEVER. It is all vain when folks carry on in the flesh, under church discipline, in hypocrisy, for the wrong motive, not to God’s glory, etc. It is LITERALLY WORTHLESS. And God will never “answer by fire” or with signs from heaven on these carnal matters. NEVER.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God wants you to JOIN YOUR WILL WITH HIS WILL seeing EYE TO EYE as the FRIEND OF GOD…
Colossians 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
One of the biggest tests in life is whether we will PASS THE TRUTH TEST. In short, what is TRUE TO GOD’S WORD will be accepted by God. Most don’t study the word to the degree of ascertaining what is truth. Thusly, they fail the test(s).
Our focus passage says the crown only comes from striving LAWFULLY.
Some folks profess they love God, but in works they deny Him.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
The most important question to ask yourself today to determine if you are striving LAWFULLY is found in Galatians 4:30 and Romans 4:3 and it is: WHAT SAITH THE SCRIPTURE?
God knows when your ministry/worship is from the heart. If it is against or not for Christ’s Body (Church), it is vain. If there is no passion/fervent zeal, it is fake. Where your treasure is, there your heart will follow. How do you SPEND your time?
I exhort you, today, stop thinking you will CHEAT GOD by not giving Him your ALL and thinking you will be rewarded for half-hearted, lukewarm, lame sacrifices (Malachi 1, Rev. 3, Col. 3:23, etc.), -r <3
