DEAD FLIES IN YOUR OINTMENT?

10/01 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)

For this 10/1, here is a 10:1 to think upon…

Ecclesiastes 10:1 (KJB) Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

We should have a good name/reputation (Prov. 22:1). We should have the precious ointment of the Holy Ghost within and upon. But Beelzebub (the Lord of the flies) wants to desecrate that which is holy. 

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. PERIOD. And in every single time period.

Matthew 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

They called Jesus the Prince of Devils. Jesus said they will call us worse. Do they call you worse? Selah. 

Again, the ointment points to the Holy Ghost. 

Satan has much in his arsenal to bring in the dead fly carcasses to make the Alabaster box no longer fill the house with the desired aroma.

David’s Stinky fly folly was remembered in 1 Kings 15:5… 

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

Proverbs 6 says: 32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. 33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

A reputation is destroyed by flies in the ointment. Now, the accuser of the brethren accuses God’s people night and day before the Throne (Satan). Also, there are railing liars who will desperately try and destroy your reputation to cover up their own lies. Praise God and thankfully, the reward is exponentially compounded in heaven. 

But what you do to destroy your OWN reputation is entirely your fault. 

Often an odious woman (Proverbs 30) is in the foreground. Time would fail me to list men who have allowed an odious woman to destroy their call and hasten their fall. MANY ARE HER SLAIN as Proverbs so aptly saith. 

Abraham’s stinky dead fly folly with obeying Sarah with Hagar is still an issue today with Ishmaelite nations fulfilling scripture. 

In Exodus 8, God sent swarms of flies upon Egypt (type of the world) but Goshen did not taste of this.

Jesus' Name is as "ointment poured forth."  (Song of Solomon 1:3). But naming Christ's name means to DEPART FROM INIQUITY (2 Tim. 2:19). Otherwise - FLIES.

Check those dead flies. Keep the ointment PURE. Don't pollute God's Name, word, Spirit, church, etc. 

May worldly folly and the Lord of the Flies not corrupt our anointing and sacrifice to the Lord, -r <3
