A Wicked Man’s Heart does have SOME worth…

10/20 Daily (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3) Exhortation…

Proverbs 10:20 (KJB)  The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

Very precious is the tongue of a righteous person. Very rare indeed. But let us focus hard on the latter part of our focus passage. “THE HEART OF THE WICKED IS LITTLE WORTH.” 

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Friends, there is something written in the heart of EVERY MAN.

John 1 says that Jesus lights the heart of EVERY MAN. That light is called the CONSCIENCE. 

CONSCIENCE is a compound word. Con means WITH and SCIENCE means KNOWLEDGE. Everybody, and I do mean EVERYBODY, is with knowledge. This is why Romans 1 says that the Godhead and His eternal power and that which may be known of God is written in the heart so that folks are without excuse. They may hold/suppress this truth in unrighteousness, but THEY KNOW.

That’s why agnosticism ('a' means “no” and 'gnostic' means “know”) is a major NO-KNOW and a major NO-NO.

When I was foreknown to be wicked, God demonstrated His love for me.

Romans 5:8 (KJB)  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Wicked people still have something; they have a conscience. And since God put that there, it is of worth. Satan’s job via the world, flesh, Devil is to MAKE THAT CONSCIENCE LIGHT DIMMER, DIMMER, DIMMER UNTIL THE LIGHTS ARE OUT. 

A conscience can be defiled (1 Cor. 8:7; Titus 1:15) and before God gives one a new heart, that conscience is polluted some to the point of being an “evil conscience” (Heb.10:22) and God makes it a “good conscience” (Acts 23:1; 1 Tim. 1:5,19; Heb.13:18;1 Pet. 3:16,21). Eventually, a conscience can become SEARED (1 Tim. 4:2). 

At the point of reprobation, THE LIGHT IS OUT FINALLY AND FOREVER. Even then, God can use reprobates to try the hearts of men and for them to treasure up more and more wrath against the day of Judgment per Romans 2. 

The fact that Christ died for the wicked shows He found value in the wicked. Jesus always gets the glory as HE is the One who put the law in the hearts of all men. When a person reaches an age of respondability/responsibility, he becomes a child of the devil (Luke 15, etc.). Satan’s job is to make that happen very quickly. The ONLY worth in a wicked heart is the God-given conscience which provides SOME light. Pray God will quicken that conscience before it is seared. 

I exhort you today to don’t give up on the wicked. Unless you know somebody is reprobate, keep praying for them, etc., -r <3
