TRUTH IS HATE TO THOSE WHO HATE THE TRUTH...

10/13 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)…

For this 10/13, may we glean from this 10:13…

1 Chronicles 10:13 (KJB)  So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it…

Saul did not “ENDOR” unto the end but sought after the Witch of Endor (Jezebel). The House of Saul versus the House of David (2 Samuel 3:1) is a very important allegory in the Bible.

 

But of special note in our focus passage is how that Saul died because He not only transgressed against the LORD, but against the WORD OF THE LORD…. Note how that God and His word are inseparable… Why? God’s word is AN EXTENSION OF HIMSELF. See, God’s word proceeds from His heart, out of His mouth. Your word is WHO YOU ARE. God’s Word is WHO HE IS. 

The House of Saul sins against the word of the Lord. Even King James Only House of Saul Professional church setups will OFTEN sin against the very word they profess. And there is “death in the pot” thusly. Saul died for his transgression against the Lord, EVEN AGAINST THE WORD OF THE LORD. 

Isaiah 66:2 says, “…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” 

Do you tremble at the word? There is no fear of God when there is no fear of the word of God. Many DARE to defy the words of God. 

13 is rebellion usually in Bible Numerics. Saul is connected to 13 over and over and over. But on this 13th, consider this double 13…

Proverbs 13:13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

To hate God’s word is to HATE GOD, and to fear His words is to FEAR HIM. To disobey God's word is TO DESPISE IT. 

Matter of fact, read Psalms 19 and you’ll find that the word of God is actually CALLED “THE FEAR OF THE LORD.” Watch how “fear of the Lord” and the word are used interchangeably…

Psalms 19: 7 The law of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD (WORD OF GOD) are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

So, when it says that the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” and “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”, one can substitute the words of God as being the beginning of wisdom/knowledge. 

I exhort you, DO NOT TRANSGRESS AGAINST THE WORD OF THE LORD. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE BIBLE and do not hate it. 

Numbers 15:31 Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

2 Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight?

Amos 2:4 …they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err…

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
