Shake the Dust Off!

10/14 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3, etc.)…

This 10/14, let’s get clean from the following 10:14…

Matthew 10:14 (KJB)  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Let’s talk some types/emblematic symbols, etc. DUST. God told Adam that he was dust. God said the serpent’s meat would be dust. Dust points to the flesh of man, and Satan is walking about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). 

Jesus said in Matthew 16:23, “…Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” 

Note that the Devil savours and delights in the flesh of man. Thusly, walking in the flesh invites Satan’s attack. 

Luke 10:11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

In the Bible, you will find that dust CLEAVES. 

So… Psalms 101:3 says, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.” 

When folks turn aside (backslidden, church disciplined, etc.), SHAKE THE VERY DUST OFF. 

John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

A widow indeed was one who had “washed the saints’ feet.” This Is a person who refreshes the saints with the water of the word of God when we have trod this earthly sod. We must not allow the dust to cleave. We need the saints to help in this purging of that which is earthly. Watch this. 

2 Timothy 2:19-22 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of EARTH; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, WITH them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Note how we are to be purged from that which is EARTH (dirty, dusty, etc.). Note also how you do this WITH THEM that call upon the Lord out of a pure heart. We need ONE ANOTHER in the body of Christ. 

James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is EARTHLY, sensual, devilish.

Cain offered up the FRUIT OF THE GROUND and God did not accept this sacrifice. God CURSED the ground. 

Jesus said regarding the dirty Pharisees/Professional Organized Religion, to LET THEM ALONE. You'll be down in a dirty ditch. 

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Today, I encourage you. SHAKE THE DUST OFF. Again, Psalms 101 exhorts to HATE the works of those that turn aside and not allow it to cleave unto you. 

1 Timothy 5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.

Shake off the serpent’s meat. Shake off that which is earthly. Keep your feet/walk clean. Wash the saints’ feet in the water of the word, but by all means, KEEP THYSELF PURE, hating even the garment that is spotted by the flesh, spotted by the world (Jude 1:23; James 1:27)…
