How Did You Get To Be So Wise? 

10/24 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)

This 10/24, it is you I implore via this 10:24…

1 Kings 10:24 (KJB)  And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which GOD HAD PUT IN HIS HEART.

Where do we GET WISDOM? 

Proverbs 2:6-7 For the LORD GIVETH wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Daniel 1:17 As for these four children, GOD GAVE THEM knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Here is God’s statement taking credit for Solomon’s wisdom: 

1 Kings 3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I HAVE GIVEN thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

1 Kings 4:29  And God GAVE Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Solomon had a serious DATABASE of Divine wisdom, but he MISUSED IT. See Ecclesiastes (Solomon’s repentance book) for details. 

Contrary to popular belief, the wisest man that ever lived WAS NOT SOLOMON. Wisdom incarnate was the wisest man that ever lived: THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: God manifested in the flesh. 

Christ, as God, with INFINITE WISDOM, stated this about Himself: 

Matthew 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Christ *IS* the Wisdom of God…

Colossians 2:2-3 state: “…Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” 

See that? There is no wisdom or knowledge APART FROM CHRIST.  

Who gives wisdom? Google or God?

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD, THAT GIVETH to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The Bible contains ALL THE ANSWERS:

2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJB)  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And one of my favorite passages: 

Daniel 2:20-23 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 

Dan. 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Dan. 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Dan. 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

Any wisdom we have, IT CAME FROM GOD. God *is* WISDOM. He is the SPIRIT OF WISDOM (see Isaiah 11). The Primitive Problem of Pride robs God of glory!

You think you can BUY WISDOM?

Proverbs 17:16 Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

I exhort you this day, STOP LOOKING FOR WISDOM IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES. No time to waste. Put down Facebook, and get that FACE IN THE BOOK. The Internet has NOTHING on the Infinite Mind of God... Infinite GLORY TO GOD! 

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Google has NOTHING on GOD, -r <3
