Proverbs 10:18 (KJB)  He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Devil means “slanderer” which is a false accuser, railer, liar. Satan accuses the brethren night and day (Rev.12). The saints overcome the accuser of the brethren by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony, and love not their lives unto the death (Rev. 12:10 and following). You see, your very testimony will overthrow the lies. The fact that you are walking in the light, in the blood, and loving not your own life unto the death, shows the accusations are false. Those on Satan’s side of slander never exhibit such…

When 1st Timothy 3 speaks of the deacons’ wives’ being faithful and not “slanderers,” this is “diabolos” in Greek which is oft translated DEVILS. In short, a slanderer is being a devil. Jesus called Judas a devil because he was turning away and began to falsely accuse. This is why Mary of Bethany’s breaking of the alabaster is a memorial in all 4 Gospels. Jesus would not allow Judas’ slander to stick. 

Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of…

In Biblical paradox, at times you defend, at times you don’t. Whichever, trust that which you do is appropriated by the Holy Ghost and be Spirit-led. 

Yet, here is another 10:18…

2 Corinthians 10:18 (KJB)  For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

You can defend yourself, but it is best to allow the Lord to defend. God will show whom He commendeth. It will be glaringly obvious and especially at Judgment when every secret hidden thing is brought to light. 

1 Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Our focus passage is interesting. Folks hide hatred with lying lips. 

Proverbs 26:26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

Interesting numbers there. That’s 26 (13+13) and 26 (13+13). 13 in Bible Numerics is REBELLION. God will make a local church see which is at fault. 

Proverbs 26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

When folks lie about you, THEY HATE YOU, and want to AFFLICT YOU. God will expose that. Give it time. Ever had folks flatter you for years and then turn and lie about you? Who said this Bible is not RELEVANT?

Satan FALLS as a FALSE ACCUSER (see Luke 10:18 hint hint). God is on those chapter/verses if thou canst TELL. 

NEVER speak anything about anybody that is not true. Know your facts or hold your peace. And even if it is true, Does the Holy Ghost want you to talk about it? Railing (false accusation) is a serious offence to God and is a church discipline issue (see 1 Cor. 5, etc.). Never join the Devil in slander. If you don’t LOVE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST, you are NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. God puts you OUT OF THE CHURCH when you are a railer (1 Cor. 5). You can always find a fake social club "church" in which to hide. They are a dime a dozen.  You can fool men, but NOT GOD. 

Sadly, BECAUSE you know the truth ABOUT some folks, they are DEVIL-DRIVEN to rail against you in hopes you’ll keep your knowledge to yourself. This day and age, nobody really cares about their secret sins anyway, so they are just chasing phantoms wasting their time.  Sinners love sinners. Hypocrite Christians fit in with infidels just fine and are never persecuted. But GOD KNOWETH and He CARETH. And it will ALL come out eventually.
