Satisfied Yet???

The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me

"Attractive" or a "Turnoff?" (What Do The Guys Think?)

 To a true Christ-like guy what's attractive is a "Jewel." What's a turnoff is a "Jezebel."
A Jezebel is: A Jezebel. (Okay, I figured everyone know what that is, but I'll be nice and explain... ha ha) Someone who is wicked, cheap, whorish, flirtatious, immodest, etc.
A Jewel is: A modest, chaste, discreet, lovely, pure, and Christ-like virtuous woman.

As Christian young ladies we can exude Biblical, sparkling, vibrant, and set-apart femininity,  or... we can portray worldly Jezebel qualities.

When people see you what do you think comes to their mind?

I was recently reading a biography of a man named "Jonathon Edwards." When he was 20 years old he met a young lady (who would eventually become his future wife) and she made such an impact on him that it inspired him to write a very beautiful poetic piece about her.  This is the kind of testimony "Sarah" portrayed to this man:
"They say there is a young lady in (New Haven) who is Beloved of that Great Being, who made and rules the world, and that there are certain seasons in which this Great Being, in some way or other invisible, comes to her and fills her mind with exceeding sweet delight, and that she hardly cares for anything, except to meditate on Him- that she expects after a while to be received up where He is, to be raised up out of the world and caught up into heaven; being assured that He loves her too well to let her remain at a distance from Him always.
There she is to dwell with Him, and to be ravished with His love and delight forever. Therefore, if you present all the world before her, she disregard's it and cares not for it, and is unmindful of any pain or affliction. She has a strange sweetness in her mind, and singular purity in her affections; is most just conscientious in all her conduct; and you could not persuade her to do anything wrong or sinful, if you would give her all the world, lest she would offend this Great Being. She is of a wonderful sweetness, calmness and universal benevolence of mind; especially after this great God has manifested Himself to her mind. She will sometimes go about from place to place, singing sweetly; and seems to be always full of joy and pleasure; and no one knows for what. She loves to be alone, walking in the fields and groves, and seems to have someone invisible always conversing with her."

That's really neat! Don't you think?

Okay when you see the picture below what comes to your mind?

A godly, wholesome, modest, and lovely princess, right? I THINK NOT!
When I see it I think, "YUCK!" She looks like a nasty Jezebel ready to offer a "kiss" (I guess) to anyone? Very cheap! And in dire need of a dose of Jesus Christ, holiness, and repentance to help her get right.

When you see this picture below what comes to your mind?

I think of a shamefaced modest Princess. What about you?

When you post pictures of yourself what do you look like? I mean what are you trying to look like? Yourself or what you wish you could look like? Are you looking to get male approval? Are you trying to be the "prettiest" girl in the world? Are you trying to compete with all your friends? Are you trying to draw attention to yourself?

OR...
Are you looking to draw attention to Jesus Christ? Are you trying to be modest and discreet? Are you portraying Biblical set-apart femininity? Do you look like a Jewel? Or are you just like every other girl out there trying to look like an anorexic model? God forbid if so!

Look at the way you pose. Is it sensual? Are you trying to get guys to notice you? Do you really have to take 500 pictures of you at different angles (i.e. side view, back view, top view, front view. Laying down, twirling in the grass, sitting down, putting on a "pouty" face, frowning, jumping in the air, puckering your lips, looking off into space, looking down, goofy face, and hair in eyes)?

Now, don't get me wrong. I like photography as much as the next girl, and every photographer knows how much fun it is to get neat angles. I'm talking about the difference between getting a beautiful shot or a weird flirty shot.

A picture is worth a million words and even if you think that you don't "mean anything by it" others may NOT think that!
Now, one of the worst things you could do (in my opinion) is be a stumbling block to your brother in Christ. Not just in your pictures, think about the way you carry yourself, the clothes you wear (You should be able to run, reach, or bend with out your skirt flying up or shirt sagging open revealing skin, or even "covered" skin, (such as leggings). If so, you really should double check your clothing choices. But "Modesty" is a whole other topic), or even the way you act around guys, or look at guys.

What Do The Men Say?

TRUE Christ-like men like Pure Princesses who they can respect and be able to treat with all purity (Remember Jonathon and his view of Sarah?).
Leslie Ludy said something really interesting in her and Eric's book "When God Writes Your Love Story": (She had a conversation with some Christ-like guys and this is what they said when they were describing what they were looking for in a woman.)

"A woman who has mystery- who guards her heart and isn't easy to get."

"A woman with backbone. High standards. Different from this culture.."

"A woman who doesn't throw herself at me but lets me win her heart over time."

"A woman who's focused on God and isn't easily distracted by men."

So then Leslie asked a few questions, "So, do you guys all want a woman who is committed to purity?" A chorus of emphatic affirmative responses filled the air. "And what's your opinion of women who are easy?"
"It's disgusting!"
"A turnoff."
"Totally unattractive."
"And how do you feel about a girl who is careful about guarding her emotions ?"
"I have the utmost respect for a girl like that."
"That's the kind of girl I'd want to marry."
"If I'm interested in a girl, it may be frustrating if she doesn't fall for me right away, but deep down I am all the more intrigued by the challenge of winning her heart."

Another Christ-like guy said,
"I don't want a woman who just turns my head, but a woman who turns my heart." <3

True Christ-like guys do honor and love purity. What do they think when they see you?

Jesus Christ is the BEST example of what a man should be, and since He created woman I think His opinion is very important. What does Jesus say?
Let's look at some Bible...

1 Timothy 2:9
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
Hmmm... Shamefacedness. Out of the two pictures (up above) which one looks "Shamefaced?" In Proverbs it says that the Strange woman was "Brazen and Bold."

Proverbs 31:30,
"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised."

True Men realize that this verse is true. While it may appear that the woman who flaunt themselves get all the attention, they will NOT get the honor and respect of the BEST men. (Please wait for the BEST- it's always worth it!)

Titus 2: 4-5, "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

Discreet. Chaste. Hmmm.....

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Are you Pure and lovely with a little virtue mixed in? (Don't you want godly people to have those kind of  thoughts? It says to think on these things, right? What if you are in somebody's thoughts and you are NOT like the above list? Selah.)

Well, I really need to get to bed (it's late) but I thought I'd just share what was on my heart.
I feel like it's SOOO important for young ladies to act like Pure Princesses who are Set-apart from the world (not getting their fashion advice from them!). To read more about this type of topic read my paper  Who Are You Really Trying To Attract?.

Tomorrow I'm looking forward to enjoying the beautiful snow that God gave us. Right now I'm looking forward to enjoying the sweet sleep (after some sweet prayer and Bible reading) that God gave us as well. :)

So, may God richly bless you all! Keep thyself Pure.
Love y'all! <3
Always the Lord's Love and Bride,

  1. Hope, this is your Father, the Pleased Patriarch. Sister, YOU ARE AN AMAZING, HOLY-GHOST FILLED handmaiden. What a precious jewel you are. You were dedicated to the Lord IN THE WOMB and you are a Proverbs 22:6 Covenant Child. I promise to guard you until the Pure Prince comes. Either that will be JESUS CHRIST, or a human prince who is deemed worthy of the FINEST. Sometimes I think Jesus read your posts and CHANGES THE DATE OF HIS COMING EARLIER because the only man worthy of you is JESUS CHRIST. Love, Dad <3
