DOWNFALL - The DEVIL’S DOMINO EFFECT…

02/13 Daily Exhortation (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)…

What can we glean from the following 2:13 on this date of 2/13?

Proverbs 2:13-14... 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness…

14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked…

First, note the 13. Thirteen in Bible Numerics mostly points to REBELLION. Note that somebody is leaving the PATHS OF UPRIGHTNESS to walk in darkness. Elementary as this seems, most gloss over it. They in this passage were ONCE ON THE UPRIGHT PATH, AND WALKING IN THE LIGHT. 

Bingo. 

Lucifer means ‘Light-bearer.’ He was the ANOINTED CHERUB (Ezek.28; Isaiah 14). God created him upright. However, via pride, envy, and lust for power/money in his heart, HE FELL, and now rules the KINGDOM OF DARKNESS. 

This DOWNFALL is what we call THE DEVIL’S DOMINO EFFECT. You see, one domino heads down 👇 , and desires to take down ALL the others. Satan KNOWS HE IS GOING DOWN and will use every weapon in his arsenal to bring ALL THE OTHERS DOWN LIKE DOMINOES...

Remember in the years of B.C. when, say, in school, you ran with a crowd or group. If ONE GOT IN TROUBLE, EVERYBODY WENT DOWN. 

Satan has been employing this principle for millennia now. Note the verse immediately after our focus passage. Those that depart from the right ways REJOICE TO DO EVIL, *AND* delight in the FROWARDNESS (going fro or from God as the untoward generation mentioned in Acts 2) of the wicked. 

REBELS REVEL IN REBELLION. 

Every. Single. Time. Period. 

And in every single time period. 

It is never enough for a rebel to JUST SIMPLY rebel, they MUST – THEY *MUST* ENCOURAGE OTHER REBELS. This is their LIFELONG CAMPAIGN. They wet themselves silly to see another rebel. This is their demonic drive. THEY MUST. THEY MUST. 

It reminds me of back in school when the teacher announced test time. “Oh no!!! I did not study…” You look around you, “Did YOU study?” “No!!!!” “Did YOU STUDY?!” “No!!!” There was great FALSE relief in knowing that YOU WERE ALL FAILING/GRADES FALLING. There was always that “teacher’s pet” or “nerd” (as the cool folk would call them) that DID STUDY. You hated on them. “Ya NERD!!!!!”

 

Rubber to the Road: Folks who turn aside after sin, betray their families/ brethren/ local churches, and flee to hiding spots or folks who don’t know all their vile sins; and they hope everybody else will fail like them. They lie to all the others. They WANT SO BADLY – YEA, PRAY to GOD (ahem - SATAN) that others will join them in the DOMINO EFFECT. This is an ONGOING Centuries-old Serpent Cycling SAGA. Rinse and Repeat. 

Paul so aptly put it regarding such on the road to apostasy: “THEIR WORD WILL EAT AS DOTH A CANKER…” (2 Tim. 2:17). The Devilish design is to use the rebel’s words to eat away at the upright. Same Attack Tactic for eons. Rebels encourage rebellion in others. THEY MUST.  

Proverbs 21:16 The man that wandereth OUT OF THE WAY of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

Psalm 36:3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath LEFT OFF to be wise, and to do good.

Ezekiel 18:26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

2 Peter 2:20-23 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

This is the great FALLING AWAY prophesied in 2 Thess. 2:3:

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…

Will you 🫵 Break the Chain Reaction and Cancel the Cascading Ruin⁉️ 

Psalms 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

Will you 🫵 stand behind the faithful few, tried and true and be the EXCEPTION with an EXCELLENT spirit in this ERA of ERROR⁉️
