Hava and I had our matching chicken shirts on today! ๐
She’s my 11 years younger “twin”. ๐
This is a neat story:
So my precious sisters love to borrow my things. I guess it’s because I’m a bit of a neat freak, and very particular about where I put my organized, color coded, neat things/clothes/art supplies/etc.
And the girls?
Uh… (((Sheepish grin)))
I guess their things just kinda end up in that notorious black hole (ya know, Mr. oblivion)???
Or maybe it was Mr. Nobody? He really is solely responsible for every mishap, misdemeanor, or misplaced item that happens on the farm. ๐
Or maybe the theory that the dryer vent really does eat our socks (and other miscellaneous items) is really a fact?
Or maybe the goats really ate it?
I dunno.
But it’s very common for me to hear:
“Hope, can I borrow your plaid shirt?”
“Sure!”
“Apple, can I use your pencils?”
“Anytime, Baby!”
“Can I wear your Tractor Supply hat?”
“Of course!”
“Can I borrow your gloves, and scarf, and coat?”
“Ya don’t even have to ask, so long as you put them back in their place.”
“Can I use your pocket knife?”
“Anytime!”
Ya get the picture.
Sometimes I think they just want to look like their Big Sis. (Heehee ๐)
Well, last night, Hava borrowed my gloves and my coat to help with the hay job.
They really are my “special” gloves, as I got them at Tractor Supply Company for a really good deal a few years ago, and I wear them for EVERYTHING. They’re real leather, super warm, and my favorite.
Fortunately, my coat made it back in one piece. Unfortunately, she lost my glove.
Out there.
Somewhere.
In the black, dark, night.
I was a little disheartened.
(Poor Hava was sad for my sake too… )
Dad, ever optimistic, said, “Ya know what, I bet they’re just laying there in such-n-such place. We’ll look in the daylight. If we don’t find them, I’ll buy you a new pair.”
Dad then prayed that we would find it.
Sure enough, just like Dad said (and had even envisioned), we found it today!
It was literally miles down the road, and laying right where Dad had expected to see it!
Seriously miraculous.
(((Sigh of relief. ๐)))
Praise The Lord!
Morale of the story?
Dad is very wise.
And? I’ll keep letting my sisters borrow my things. They’re just things after all. ๐
Hope everyone has a lovely night! ๐
P.S. Just wanted to say that I DO NOT dye the ends of my hair light! That’s just what well water does to long hair ends… haha!
I prefer dark hair, actually.
