And that is just how gracious our amazing Saviour really is. He gives us commands to follow, and then He lovingly provides HIMSELF for us to throw ourselves back on in order to obey!

This verse is verily a very pivotal, yea, quintessential, keystone, crucial, core concept. Also this one:
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
đwithout me ye can do nothingđ.
Mathletic Ones, observe. "John 15:1 I am" contains a subtle date of 1551, when chapter and verse divisions began to be used in the New Testament! Such divisions are Divinely Orchestrated and BEYOND Human Contrivance.

Note that without Jesus, We Can DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, zero, zilch. Man is so arrogant. Man is so proud of himself. He has ZERO REASON to boast. Jesus upholds ALL THINGS, and by Him ALL THINGS CONSIST (Heb. 1:3; Col. 1:17).
We need Christ to even PRAISE HIM and THANK HIM:

God grants / gives repentance (Acts 11:18; 2 Tim. 2:25), God gives us to believe (Philip. 1:29), He writes faith in the heart in the conscience (Rom. 2; Matt. 23:23), etc.
