Here is another 4:23. 

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

We are to keep / guard our hearts because out of it, the issues of life proceed. 

It is important that our songs are doctrinally sound (in Spirit and in Truth) & rightly resonant. 

The Holy Ghost is called The Spirit of Truth. 

Psalm 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. 

Our two-edged sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6:17; Heb. 4:12) is the word of God, yea Bible Blade. 

Music is never a-moral or neutral. Creepy instrumentals are evil. Rock and roll, etymologically, means “fornication.” Jazz was / is a sexual term as is hip-hop, swing, alternative, etc. To say “Christian Rock” is to say “Christ-like fornication.” Boiled down, this is blasphemy. 

Holy Harlotry⁉️ Sanctified Sensuality⁉️ Nay, but such is an Oxymoron, yea, iron mixed with clay, that cannot stand. 

We are not to be conformed to the world (Rom.12:1-2). We are commanded to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul (1 Pet. 2:11). Satan knows this full well & hopes you are ignorant and apathetic about such. Satan MAJORS in music. 

Music is spiritual which extends into the natural realm. It is much akin to intercourse in that respect (having both a spiritual and physical aspect; 1 Cor. 6:16, etc.). Satan corrupts (2 Cor. 2:17; 11:3). 

Believe what thou wilt, but on 8/28/90, when I trashed my huge rock "music" collection, God baptized me with the Holy Ghost! Un. For. GETTABLE ‼️ 🔥 

Godly music from David caused an evil spirit to leave Saul (see 1 Samuel 16:23). Music impacts the spiritual climate either for good or bad, depending on the music AS WELL AS the heart / anointing of the player.

Isaiah 5:12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.

Sadly, many folks today ACTUALLY WORSHIP “WORSHIP” And PRAISE “PRAISE.” 

Some invent instruments with wrong motives: 

Amos 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

Ego-Engineered, Electronic, Ear-splitting, Emotion-heavy Expressions‼️ 

Amos 6:5-6 5 That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; 6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Dance is Musical Interpretation. Does the music make one dance sensual? Then, the music is not of God. 

The Vile Viols of Violence would be like heavy metal. Thrash metal is danced aggressively in a mosh pit. Would a pit remind one of Above or the Abyss? Thou knowest in thy heart of hearts. 

All Music either aligns itself with the fruit of the Spirit or the manifestation of the flesh (Galatians 5). You either reap a fruitful harvest, or wreak fleshly havoc. 

Satan has viols (Isaiah 14:11) and pipes and tabrets formed IN HIM (as Lucifer, the anointed cherub) (see Ezekiel 28). When Satan fell, that spiritual musick fell as well. 

Music comes from the heart and is thusly SPIRITUAL. To think that something in the spiritual realm is not evil in and of itself is a serious logical fallacy and a spirit of error. 

Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Isaiah 23:29 Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

Isaiah 24:8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.

Jeremiah 4:19 My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Church, do all things heartily as to the Lord (Col. 3:23) and don’t commit spiritual adultery (James 4:4) by mixing the holy and profane (Ezek. 44:23). Keep / guard your soul / heart / mind from wrong music. 

I call ungodly music “a-music.” Why? To muse is to think. Amusement is not thinking. Passive beats and discordant counter-rhythms are designed to make you NOT THINK. Mind-numbing noise, thoughtless thrill, brain-off buzz. They weaken your will against demonic forces. Thusly, we've stood against it all for 3 decades now. There will be no rock and roll in heaven, Brethren. No flesh frequencies. No carnal chorus. Thy will be done IN EARTH as it is IN HEAVEN. Take heed and worship God in Spirit and in truth acceptably.
