The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me ...

A lovely love story…

Never marry for looks or lust. Superficial and nasty.

In the spring of 1984, a devoted husband married a woman whose beauty was admired by all who knew her. Their early years together were filled with happiness and shared dreams. However, fate soon intervened when she developed a skin condition that gradually altered her appearance. As her features changed, the once-vibrant light in her eyes dimmed with quiet sadness. Still, their love remained constant—unshaken by the external changes. During a business trip later that year, the man was involved in a severe accident, leaving him with what appeared to be complete blindness. Despite this new challenge, their marriage continued with deep affection and mutual care, unaltered by appearances.

Over the years, the woman’s condition worsened. The disease slowly erased the physical beauty she once possessed, but her spirit remained loving and tender. The husband, now seemingly blind, treated her with the same devotion and tenderness he always had, never once reacting to her changing appearance. She never had to fear pity or rejection from him. Their love story carried on quietly until her death in 1991, which struck him with unbearable grief. After the funeral rites were complete, he prepared to leave the town, unable to remain in the place filled with memories.

As he walked away, a neighbor expressed concern: “How will you walk alone? Your wife always helped you.” The man gently revealed the truth—he had not been blind at all. He had pretended, choosing to shield his wife from the pain of knowing how much her appearance had changed. “I loved her soul, not her skin,” he said softly. “I only wanted to keep her happy.” His words left a lasting impression, reminding all who heard them that true love is rooted not in outward beauty, but in quiet sacrifices and unwavering devotion.
