Dear Dad’s VITAL teaching for 5/7... Get a BLESSING!

Are you a WORRIER or a WARRIOR?
05/07 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)…
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Why a 5:7 construction? Well, likely for INFINTITE REASONS, but here is one. 5=Death in Bible Numerics. 7=Divine Perfection. Prayer is an exercise of DEATH TO SELF, and being DIVINELY PERFECTED.
One of my favorite passages for prayer:
Romans 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Prayer is “of Him, and through Him, and to Him…” Likewise, all of our ministry, service, works, etc. are just that. JESUS GETS ALL GLORY. See, incense is emblematic of prayer (Ps. 141:2; Rev.8:3-4).
The altar of incense was lit from the coals of the altar of sacrifice (representing Christ on the cross on the 5 by 5 altar of death/sacrifice). Prayer is said to be always “in the Spirit” (Eph. 6:18) and “in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20).
Are you a Pitiful WORRIER or a Prayerful WARRIOR?
Cast your complaints upon Christ. Convert your Concerns to Concentrated Cries.
Philippians 4:5-7 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Note we are to be CAREFUL (full of care/worry) for NOTHING, but rather WRESTLE those REQUESTS before our REDEEMER.
Focus:1 Peter 5:7. My firstborn grandbaby was born on a 5/7. In transit to the hospital, I prayed for them on speakerphone and prayed, “We cast all our care upon you, knowing you care for us.” I wasn’t thinking of the address/date connection at the time. Of course, labour can go beyond midnight and change the date, BUT God planned it perfect. On 5/8 in the hospital before retiring for the night, Amanda’s (daughter in law) random chapter on her phone was 1st Peter 5. Yes, Jesus thought of EVERYTHING.
Watch the same 5:7 constructions here:
In Esther 5:7, she makes her petition before the throne (symbolizing the church coming to Christ in prayer).
Heb. 5:7 is about Jesus in the flesh praying...
"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;"
2 Cor. 5:7 is why we pray... "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"
To WHOM do we pray? We pray to heaven to the GODHEAD:
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
By the way, my absolute favorite Bible verse for decades is 1 John 5:7…
Here is a man petitioning Jesus as God manifested in the flesh:
John 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
Prayer is aimed at the ALMIGHTY. “Almighty” is 57 times in the Bible. So, another 57 construction. When you pray, you are trusting that God is ALMIGHTY and dying to self.
Since prayer is called the “prayer of faith” in James 5, and Jesus said when He comes back that faith would be at an all-time low, then All the more do we pray in the LAST DAYS.
And here is a 5:7 about the last days/ end times...
James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
