How’s your HEDGE OF PROTECTION? 

Our Focus passage indicates that our hedge is determined by whether we are keeping God’s commands. Of course, this is all by God's grace and Spirit, which does NOT go without saying. 

Ecclesiastes 10:8 says, “…Whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” If you break the hedge with willful sin, a serpent (devil) WILL bite. 

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. PERIOD. And in every single time period. 

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Unless God has some purpose in you feeling the evil thing, then obedience keeps the hedge intact. We know God removed the hedge to test Job, allowed a messenger of Satan to buffet Paul, etc. 

Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,  and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Job 3:23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

Don't misunderstand. You WILL be persecuted, you WILL be attacked by the amped up grid of Ephesians 6:12, you WILL have to take up your cross of bitter, brutal betrayal DAY BY DAY, but when the smoke settles, YOU *WILL* BE STANDING by the grace of God. 

Want to dwell in Goshen, where there is light, in the Secret Place of the Most High, in the cleft of the rock, hid in His pavilion, hid in Christ, hid in the light which no man can approach unto, hid where the fierce lion cannot trod or the vulture cannot see (Job 28, etc.)? 

KEEP GOD’S COMMANDMENTS, this day, Brethren, and in no wise depart from them!
