LOVE THE INTERNET? 

12/12 Daily Exhortation (Matt.6:11; Heb.3:13; 10:25; Luke 11:3)…

Let us delve this 12/12 into the following 12:12…

Proverbs 12:12 (KJB) The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

We know that a “net” is a trap/snare. Let me make a “rubber meets the road” application here. THE NET OF THE INTERNET. THE WORLDWIDE WEB. Hmmmm…. Selah. Muse and Peruse… 

Many a spider has taken hold with her hands (Prov. 7; Prov. 30) – taken hold of many a man. Many a creepy man has crept into the houses of silly women laden with sin via the NET (2 Tim. 3), etc. 

Just knowing is HALF the battle. 

Proverbs  1:17-18 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

Note the law of the harvest (reaping/sowing and cause/effect)… 

Those that think they are spreading a net for another ARE ACTUALLY SPREADING IT FOR THEMSELVES. Thus SAITH THE LORD. Ahhhh…. God’s MATCHLESS wisdom!!!!

Proverbs 29:5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Prov. 7:21 says, “…With the flattering of her lips she FORCED HIM.” 

Antichrist also will obtain the kingdom and corrupt by FLATTERIES (Daniel 11:21, 32)… 

"W" is the 6th letter of Hebrew and thusly "WWW" is a precursor of 666. Folks have their forehead on the monitor and their right hand on the mouse or their forehead glued to their phone screen with the phone in their right hand. Hmmmm..... 

Jeremiah 5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Jeremiah 5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Let’s make one application…  THE INTERNET is laying serious SNARES for folks, and folks are WAXING RICH luring folks into their webs. 

Micah 7:2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

Hab 1:15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

Hab 1:16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.

Ahhhh….  Another application. Folks PRAY to (incense) and sacrifice/worship THE NET. Bingo. People love the NET more than the NAZARENE. They love the WEB more than the WORD. They love the INTERNET more than THE INTERCESSOR… REPENT!!!!

But note OUR FOCUS PASSAGE. The wicked will desire the net of evil men, but the ROOT of the righteous yields FRUIT. 

Repentance is the root that yields fruit. John the Baptist said in Matthew 3:8 “Bring forth therefore FRUITS meet [fit] for repentance…” Acts 26:20 says to “…do WORKS meet for repentance.” You see, the fruits/works are the result of the ROOT.

Of course, technology can be used for good and we can harness much of it for good, BUT WATCH THOSE TRAPS/NETS. 

Which do you desire today? The NET OF EVIL MEN or to bear fruit for Jesus’ glory (John 15:8) being deeply rooted (Eph.3:17; Col. 2:7)?  -r <3
