Satan WILL BE BACK…

12/31 Daily Exhortation (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)

This last day of the year (12/31), let’s learn from this 12:31…

Exodus 12:31 (KJB)  And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.

Don’t run through the cornfields shouting “Hallelujah!” just yet…. 

Let’s get the typological teaching here. Egypt is emblematic of THE WORLD. Pharaoh figures Satan, the god of this world/ prince of this world… Israel identifies as the church in type, etc. Note that even after God smote all the firstborn of Egypt, and Pharaoh let them go, he later changed his mind (ahem) and PURSUES/PERSECUTES THEM. Driven, hardened devils CANNOT BUT persecute/pursue God’s people. Satan left them alone. BUT HE WILL BE BACK. Happens all the time. We have seen folks flip flop bi-polar back and forth many, many a time. It’s almost AMUSING (ahem) if not so sad (amen). 

I first wrote this in QUITE A YEAR. 2020… Hindsight is – well – 2020… Satan rages on. He’s not done yet. More importantly, God is not done yet. 

If Satan only left Jesus (God Almighty manifested in the flesh) for a SEASON, who do we think WE are? 

Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Jesus taught (Matt.12:43-45) when a man is delivered of an unclean spirit, the unclean spirit will go and get 7 more wicked than himself and come back to the void (making 8 total). Eight (8) in Bible Numerics means NEW BEGINNINGS. Jesus taught that the latter state of that man is WORSE THAN THE BEGINNING. You see, Satan will leave – FOR A SEASON. And he will be back. 

Jesus rebuked Peter for giving place to Satan in Matthew 16:23… Later, Jesus tells Peter that Satan wants to sift them all as wheat (Luke 22:31). Peter gives place to the Devil for a season of denial. 

A PART-TIME CHRISTIAN is NO MATCH for a FULL-TIME DEVIL. 

When God asks Satan in Job 1 about what he was doing, the Devil responded that he was walking up and down in the earth. And he was considering Job, a perfect man who rejected evil. In 1 Peter 5:8, it teaches that Satan is like a lion walking to and fro seeking whom he may devour. Ephesians 6:12 says we are to wrestle against that spiritual BAD GRID of darkness. Why? THEY NEVER STOP. 

I LOVE GOD’S PLAY ON WORDS HERE: 

Psalm 119:98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

Ahhhh, yes. God’s commandments are “ever with me” but also “mine enemies” are “ever with me.” They never go away. They just lurk around in darkness talking back and forth trading lies, devils, etc. Why? THEY ARE DRIVEN. God continually exposes them though. 

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. PERIOD. 

And in every single time period. 

I exhort you to FIGHT this day. Your WHOLE ARMOUR is NOT A NIGHT-GOWN. It is for a KNIGHT though for children of the day. Satan never sleeps. But good news. GOD NEVER SLEEPS. 

Psalm 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

He’ll be back (Satan) but HE (Jesus) WILL BE BACK, -r <3
