CONSIDERING THE CREATOR'S CREATURES...
12/07 Daily Exhortation (Matt.6:11;Heb.3:13;10:25;Luke 11:3)…
This 12/7, let’s get a lesson from heaven from this 12:7…
Job 12:7 (KJB) But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee…
If animals could talk, they could teach us a thing or two. God likes to teach us with His creation; and specifically here, with the animal kingdom… There is much to be learned from the animal kingdom.
Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; CONSIDER her ways, and be wise…
The Ant is simply amazing in its industrious, efficient, economical, team-oriented behaviour.
God likes to teach via contrast with creatures.
Isaiah 1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not CONSIDER.
Jeremiah 8:7 Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
God commands us to CONSIDER the CREATURES He has made…
Luke 12:24 CONSIDER the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
God used Balaam’s ass (donkey) to rebuke him, etc.
Obviously, all analogies and physical types break down. I mean, Adam is a type of Christ (the last Adam), yet Christ never sinned, etc.
Another 12:7 is in 2 Sam. 12:7 when the prophet Nathan rebuked David with the famous “THOU ART THE MAN.” But first he told of a man who had a ewe lamb that ate at his table and was basically a pet that another treated/killed cruelly. In short, it is an example of a pet in the Bible.
The animal kingdom is a very popular genre on, say, Youtube, etc.
What can we learn from them today? First off, we admire the amazing HANDIWORK of the HOLY CREATOR OF ALL THINGS.
And God cares. I remember we saw our dog listed for free on Craigslist without a name. And when we went to get her (she is a Lab Pit), my daughter, Hannah, said she was thinking about the name “Abby.” This was literally the ONLY name we picked out. A single mother was giving her away because the landlord said she could not have her. When we arrived, much to our amazement, HER NAME WAS ABBY. God had us pick her ACTUAL NAME. When we told the lady this, she started crying. It was a Divine Appointment and an open door of ministry/Gospel sharing, etc. But it illustrates how much GOD CARES.
A BARKING dog is a good thing per Isaiah 56:10. Watchmen that will not sound the alarm are called dumb (mute) dogs which love to slumber. See the Pulpit Puppets of Profe$$ional church for details.
Jesus admired the faith of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15 who said, “Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
We also know from Job there were sheep-herder dogs used because Job 30:1 says “... set with the dogs of my flock.”
During the Millennial reign, animals will continue to be companions much like the paradise of Eden.
Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
What can YOU learn from animals today? Loyalty from a dog? A dog being excited to fellowship with its Master? Ambitious busy-ness of birds eating, etc.?
What tokens, teachings, TAKE AWAYS today?
Let us CONSIDER the CREATOR’S CREATURES this day, -r <3
