Redeem The Time
Dear Dad’s TIMELY teaching today on making good use of time. May it BLESS!
💥🔥🙏🍯⚔️🛡️☝️✅📖🏹🎯⌛⌚🔝🏔️🕛⚠️🕊️‼️
Make Good Use of Your Time…
04/05 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…
This 4/5, watch this 4:5…
Colossians 4:5 (KJB) Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
This is a pivotal, quintessential passage. The parallel passage gives much light/insight on the subject of making good use of one’s time:
Ephesians 5:14-17…
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Okay, God has granted some syllogisms and equal signs here to connect the dots. In short, Redeeming the time involves walking in wisdom toward them that are WITHOUT THE CHURCH/Bride of Christ, walking AWAKE, walking looking around diligently (circumspectly), walking in the WILL OF THE LORD.
Ephesians 5 (Bride chapter) goes on to tell you HOW that is accomplished: being FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT.
Let’s focus in on our focus passage. The average person gets about 8 hours of sleep per day. This leaves you 16 hours of AWAKE time with which to be productive. We are to maximize our potential for the KINGDOM OF GOD in those waking hours. Our work should be done HEARTILY as unto the Lord during those times, etc. What these passages are telling us is that those outside of a local church are time-wasters.
DON’T WASTE YOUR OIL ON FOOLISH VIRGINS (see Matthew 25 parable of the 10 virgins). If you waste your oil, energy, etc. on them, it will be to your own detriment.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. PERIOD.
And in every single time period.
The House of Saul church system will eat up your life with wood, hay, and stubble that will be worthless in the final analysis (1 Cor. 3). The spirit which now worketh in the children of disobedience (Satan, the prince of the power of the air per Eph. 2) will ensure that those without occupy your time.
How do we combat these time-wasters? Several things. First, Jesus first. Understand what the Bible teaches about time. Know God. Pray to the source of Time ALL THE TIME. Let God tame you and transform you instead of just gravitating to a passive state of least resistance. Get matters decently and in order in your life. Organize and plan based upon the word of God/will of God. Trust God to give you BLESSED PLANS rather than to bless your fleshly plans. Write the vision and make it plain. Follow this plain plan by God’s grace/Spirit. Break up everything into manageable chunks. Cut out all time-wasters and fluff. Get out all the hot air leaven from the lump. Doctrinal density and Bible-based matters are blessed of the Lord. Ensure the weightier matters are put into high priority. GOD, church (family, brothers/sisters in Christ, yourself), etc. Get the proper order/orders of life by God’s good grace. Always give God the glory and also say, “IF THE LORD WILL” and “God-permitting” we shall do thus and thus…
You will ALWAYS find time to do what you VALUE the most. You show God what you value most by your words and works, your talk and your walk.
By the way, exhorting the church (yourself, spouse, family, brothers/sisters in Christ in your local church and beyond) is ALWAYS good use of your time. DAILY. Hence, these daily exhortations NO MATTER WHAT. But only AFTER talking to Jesus first in the waking moments, etc.
I beseech you, church, REDEEM THE TIME TODAY, henceforth, and forever, -r <3
