The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me

Is your sacrifice chosen by God or Satan?

04/02 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)

Let’s learn a thing or two this 4/2 in the following 4:2…

Genesis 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Abel means “Breath.”  Cain means “Acquired” or “I have gotten.”

God uses these two literal brothers in rich allegory and double entendre.

Cain is said to be “of that wicked one” in 1 John. Cain is a murderer (and first builder of cities) who was highly offended when Abel’s offering was accepted by fire falling from heaven. Abel offered of the firstlings of his flock for a blood sacrifice (done away now in the N.T. via Jesus’ sacrifice upon the cross). Cain offers up the FRUIT OF THE GROUND. In the Bible, that which is beneath is called “earthly, sensual, devilish” (James 3) and God calls us to be vessels of honour not with “earth.” The “dust” is called the serpent’s meat. It represents the flesh - that Satan, as a roaring lion, seeks to devour and sink his teeth INTO. Jesus told Satan, “Thou savourest the things that be of men…” Long teaching, but rich.

Abel was a keeper of sheep. He was a SHEPHERD. His blood cried out. He was righteous and was persecuted because of his righteousness. This is an ongoing saga in the Bible. The House of Saul persecutes the House of David for the same reason. Ishmael persecutes Isaac (those born of the flesh persecute those born of the Spirit per Galatians 4). The Pharisees delivered up Jesus for envy. Over and over and over. When you advance in the Bible, and step out ahead of your fellow soldiers spiritually-speaking, they can stab you in the back vaunting themselves. Selah. The wood, hay, stubble fleshly offerings of fleshly people will not be answered by fire and with signs from above. They have to conjure up and manipulate and put “fire beneath” as Elijah said. But the Lord will answer by fire. The blessing and favour of the Father will be upon you.

Abel is a “breath of fresh air.” He has the BREATH OF GOD upon him. Eve says, “I have gotten” with Cain.

“I have gotten” sounds cursed. Start with the Lord and not “I.” Cain has “I” in his name. A better expression would be “The Lord has given a child.” Cain becomes very wicked and a murderer with hatred in his heart for his brother.

God says in John 4 that we are to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The Father only accepts the sacrifices that are born of Him. Oft repeated by me, but one of my favorite verses in Hebrews 13 says, “BY HIM let us offer the sacrifice of praise…” The acceptable sacrifices are those that originate with God. God’s holy rule was “without the shedding of blood is no remission.” Cain thought he would offer up fleshly sacrifices and was angry God did not accept. God’s choice is SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES CHOSEN BY HIM. God did not accept Adam’s fig-leaf religion clothing either. He clothed them with animal skins (blood sacrifice). Man has the JUDAS touch rather than the Midas touch.

How about YOU this day? Will you offer what GOD DEMANDS or what you desire? Will you offer the King a "lame" sacrifice (Mal. 1). Feeble, half-hearted, lukewarm sacrifices are NOT ACCEPTED. Be the ROYAL priesthood and peculiar people today offering up spiritual sacrifices acceptable in Jesus’ sight (1 Peter 2), -r <3
