Church, are we overwhelming Christ (Bridegroom) by our eyes of affection toward Him? 

06/05 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13 & 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)…

For this 6/5, may we strive to be as this 6:5…

Song of Solomon 6:5 (KJB) Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.

Note: This is the Beloved (Christ) speaking to His Bride (the Church). Ahhhh. One man’s “HYPER-RELIGIOSITY” is another man’s INSATIABLE LOVE FOR THE SAVIOUR. 

Two 6:5’s in a row are Song of Solomon 6:5 and Isaiah 6:5 and watch the parallel: 

Isaiah 6:5 (KJB) Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

When our EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, something changes. 

Let’s break down Song of Solomon 6:5. Jesus wants His Bride to be so much LIKE HIM, that His law is the apple of her eye (Prov. 7:2 and keep in mind that Jesus IS THE WORD), we are the APPLE OF HIS EYE (Psalms 17:8; Deut. 32:10; Lam. 2:18; Zech. 2:8 in dual application as the Israel of God). And we are to set our eyes upon Jesus as the apple of our eye (Heb. 12, etc. ). So, the pupil is the apple of the eye and the reflection of the eye should be what we are looking upon. Jesus says that the black goats from Gilead are in similitude to the black covering of hair of His bride, and He (as a palm olive dark featured Jew) has black hair. Both have DARK BLACK HAIR. Jesus wants us to be LIKE HIM (Christian means LIKE CHRIST). Our identity is LOST IN HIM, HID IN CHRIST, HID IN GOD. 

Gen. 5 says that God called Adam and Eve “Adam.” See, a woman’s identity is lost into the husband and thusly a woman takes on the man’s name. This is a type of Christ and the church (see Eph. 5, etc.)… When we are so engrossed and enamored and enraptured in Christ, this fellowship of love as His collective Bride OVERWHELMS GOD. This, my friends, is GLORIOUS. 

Jacob/Israel becomes a type of Christ and His body. Watch this “overcoming” here. 

Genesis 32:26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Ge 32:27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

Ge 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Watch this Gentile Bride type actually MOVE GOD ALMIGHTY: 

Matthew 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Mt 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

When we worship the Lord in the BEAUTY OF HOLINESS, this moves God. 

Song of Solomon 4:1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.

Note the DOVE’S EYES. The Dove points to the HOLY GHOST. When we have eyes ablaze with the HOLY GHOST, it overcomes even the Lord. 

Psalms 45:11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

Song 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
