Satisfied Yet???

The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me

Food Idolatry?

Dear Dad’s VITAL teaching for today. ENJOY.

FLEE FROM FOODOLATRY…

10/17 Daily (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3) Exhortation…

Ecclesiastes 10:17 (KJB)  Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!

A child of the King is a prince. We are children of the King and thusly princes. We are called a “royal” priesthood (1 Peter 2). We are called “noble” Bereans (Acts 17). We are called to wear crowns, be someday as "kings and priests" (Rev. 1, etc.), etc.

But do we “eat” for strength more than drunkenness?

This is very convicting for me. In Babylon, USA, folks eat for “drunkenness” or to be giddy and brought under the power/influence rather than what they need for their own strength.

What ever happened to eating to take care of the temple of the Holy Ghost rather than eating merely for pleasure?

I heard an old-timer from the generation of yesteryear share a story. A grossly obese woman came to him after a service desiring prayer. She said, "Preacher, I have AN EATING DEVIL." She wanted the "eating devil" cast out. He prayed for wisdom silently, and a word of wisdom came: "Ma'am, this kind cometh not out but by prayer and much FASTING." Lotta truth in that. ;^)

On the onset, let us judge righteously (John 7:24). There are skinny gluttons and overweight folks who are not gluttonous. There are skinny folk who eat horribly and overweight folk who eat balanced. There are health issues, genetic propensities, various metabolisms, different microbiomes, etc. Things are not always as they appear. BUT, we must ensure we are not caught up in FOOD IDOLATRY or FOODOLATRY for short. Jesus is our source of GENUINE joy and not food, amusement, etc.

We can all strive to improve here and BRETHREN, WE *MUST.* One more time with feeling: WE MUST. We are cursing ourselves and our families by the deceitful dainty meats foisted upon us both literally and metaphorically. It's easier at first to eat wrong, but makes us slow-bellies and sluggish later and brings out bad in our family, etc. It's harder on the frontend to make healthier choices, BUT LATER all is better with extra energy, better-behaved children not hooked on hyper-stimulae junk, etc. Choice is OURS.

If we have been imbalanced in these areas, it takes another imbalance to tip the scales back to balance. You may need to cut back on even healthy stuff til the balance comes, etc.

Of course, God gives us taste buds for a reason. Of course, paradoxically, God gives us “richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:17).  Understood. Jesus, post resurrection, offered the disciples broiled fish and HONEYCOMB (lawful candy for the taste buds).

There is a time for feasting and merriment and feasts of charity on Sundays, etc. Fellowship over a meal is precious. But we should eat in DUE SEASON, for strength primarily and not for drunkenness.

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Proverbs 23:2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.

We should be praying to God for keys of wisdom on how to eat for health and vitality. We need Heavenly Hacks on Health.

Remember, “every creature of God is good” per 1st Timothy 4. But I oft wonder what constitutes a “creature of God” when man gets his “love of money” hands all over it…. Instead of the proverbial Midas touch (everything touched turns to gold), man has the JUDAS touch (everything he touches betrays Christ).

Frankenfoods are marred beyond recognition. Junk in. Junk out. You grow what you sow. Law of the harvest. Law of cause and effect. The CONSEQUENCES of our CONSUMING is not Karma – but King James. If you always do what you you have always done, you’ll aways get what you have always gotten. What stops most people is the start. START NOW. As in RIGHT NOW.

Personally, when I eat healthy and focus on right choices, I feel overall sharper mentally, spiritually, physically. The archenemy of our souls, Satan, SURELY KNOWS THIS. Thusly, we are making it harder on ourselves to take the path of least resistance and the slothful, lazy, Laodicean approach to diet, etc. GOD FORBID.

Barring health issues and whatnot, let us trust God for the grace to EAT HEALTHY and be EDUCATED in our eating. Lord knows we need STRENGTH and not DRUNKENNESS.

This is not to promote self-righteousness (Romans 10) and keep these verses on the forefront:

1 Corinthians 8:8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

2 Corinthians 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

The first mention of “love” in the Bible is Isaac loving the things of this world and specifically food (Esau’s food) and thusly getting deceived. Providentially, I thought of this yesterday and this charge was resurrected today. πŸ‘€☝️Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Adam and Eve sinned by putting something forbidden in their mouths. Noah fell prey to putting forbidden rotten fruit juice in his mouth, etc. and so on.

Let’s be children of the king and use food as a tool for medicine and STRENGTH rather than a source of DRUNKENNESS and Foodolatry, -r <3
