How is your WARDROBE? Do you Dress in Front of the Wordrobe or the Worldrobe? 

03/21 DAILY EXHORTATION (Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb.3:13; 10:25)…

Let’s learn this 3/21 how that a new "trend" had BEGUN in this 3:21…

Genesis 3:21 (KJB) Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

First, man clothed his own nakedness with sewn “fig” leaves. Fig Tree religion abounds. Man was clothed in God’s glory, then sinned, and lost that glory, and was NAKED. Man tried to rectify the situation. Man has the JUDAS touch rather than the MIDAS touch. Instead of everything man touching turning to GOLD, everything man touches BETRAYS CHRIST, the CREATOR. Selah. 

God made the first sacrifice and clothed man with skins. “…Without shedding of blood is no remission [sending away of sin]…” (Heb. 9:22). God rejected Cain’s fruit of the ground sacrifice but answered by fire falling from heaven upon Abel’s blood sacrifice. Why? It typifies as a DRESS REHEARSAL to when God will prepare HIMSELF A LAMB (see Gen. 22) to take away the sin of the world. 

Much could be said and has been said about spiritual dress (being clothed with Christ, humility, the whole armour of God, etc.). But let’s shift to the subject of CLOTHING. If the inside is right, it will show on the outside (never vice versa of course). 

How about YOU today? Are you CLOTHING yourself or is God clothing you? I can assure you that Eve’s “coat of skin” was NOT A LEATHER MINI-SKIRT. I can assure you that Adam was not showing off his chest hairs, etc. The purpose of clothes is to COVER NAKEDNESS. 

God says in Isaiah 47:2-3 that making “bare the leg” and to “uncover the thigh” is “nakedness.” Those are God's definitions. 

1 Timothy 2:9 instructs “that women adorn themselves in MODEST apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety…” 

Are we dressing in front of the MIRROR of the WORD OF GOD? How about asking this: “Holy Spirit, is THIS what you want me to wear today?”

 

Men with muscular arms, veins popping, etc. can be a stumbling block for some women. Stop trying to show your wares. Personally, I more concern myself with being an EYE-SORE than a stumbling block… ;^) But I am not IMPRESSED with the TWO HAIRS on your chest, Sir. Cover up. 

Men, dress MASCULINE and MODEST. Don’t get on women with tight, revealing scuba-diving clothing and you do the exact same thing! Adam was to DRESS the garden as a HUSBANDMAN. God’s double entendres and plays on words are glorious. Men, DRESS your garden (Psalms 127, etc.). Men, how your FAMILY dresses is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. 

Women, dress FEMININE. It is not as hard as we make it. None of this is popular today (Luke 16:15). Dinah (Jacob’s Daughter) went out in Genesis 34 to “see the daughters of the land.” She quickly became a SEX OBJECT and much cursed death ensued. Stop looking at Jezebel fashions. Be feminine. Be private. Show modesty. 

Here’s a question for women. Which is MORE FEMININE? A MODEST pair of pants, or a modest skirt/dress? You know the answer in your heart of hearts. Ask the Holy Ghost for help. A mini-skirt is feminine, but not modest. A modest pair of britches is better than a mini-skirt any day (granted). But take modest skirts/dresses alongside of modest (not tight and showy) pants. Which is MORE FEMININE? Do you want to be as feminine as possible? Men, do you want to be MASCULINE? Selah. Allow the conscience to be quickened by the Holy Ghost (Romans 9:1). 

Did you have a hard life of sin and tattoos B.C. (Before Christ)? Do you want God to get all the glory? Don’t try and display them. Some can’t help it (on their necks, faces, fingers, etc.). Understood. Let’s put the old man beneath the dirt. 

Today, ask God to clothe you. Put on the garment of praise, put on zeal as a cloak, put on the new man, put on Christ, put on the whole armour, all by faith and God’s grace/Spirit. Then, ask God the Holy Ghost for a wardrobe that’s a word-robe and not a world-robe. The Biggest enemy of the BEST is the GOOD. Best Blessed, -r <3
