Satisfied Yet???

The Grass Was Dead on the Other Side WARNING: Do NOT read this post if you plan on being proud and rejecting what you read! Hell will be hotter for you. DO CONTINUE to read if you have a soft and humble heart. This post contains a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.  Amen.  Isaiah 40:6-8, " The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." I always wanted to be a princess. All of my young girl dreams were filled with royal princes, fighting knights, dancing ballerinas, handsome kings, and beautiful queens. A dreamer by nature, with a wild imagination (runs in the family), I spent my youth dressing up, dancing, and playing “princess” games with my sisters. Castles were incredible to me

Handfuls of Purpose…

02/16 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…

Here’s a 2:16 on which to meditate this 2/16…

Ruth 2:16 (KJB)  And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.

A beautiful passage from a BEAUTIFUL BOOK. Boaz is the KINSMAN REDEEMER, A TYPE OF CHRIST. Ruth is a TYPE/SYMBOL of the BRIDE OF CHRIST. God gives us gleanings that seem to fall our way, but via the Sovereign Hand of God, they are HANDFULS OF PURPOSE…

Deut 24:19-22 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.

When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Psalms 112:9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Ruth had ASKED if she could glean in the fields of barley. James teaches that we have not because we ask not. Do we want the finest of the wheat from the Lord (spiritually-speaking)? Why not ask?

I want to drive home a glorious revelation in this passage. If you’ll note, Ruth is getting GLEANINGS. However, Boaz has commanded his servants to DELIBERATELY LEAVE “HANDFULS OF PURPOSE.” Ruth does not KNOW this. This means she thinks she is getting gleanings but Boaz has deliberately commanded them.

The Sheaves of barley point to THE WORD OF GOD, our source of sustenance and life.

Psalm 119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

How about YOU today? Are you rejoicing at God’s word as one that findeth great spoil – great HANDFULS OF PURPOSE? –r <3
