Is the Egyptian yoke DESTROYED? 

05/18 Daily Exhortation (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)…

A 5:18 for 5/18…

Exodus 5:18 (KJB) Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

Backstory: Pharaoh of Egypt wants the daily “tally” of bricks to remain for God's people (Israel), even though they have run out of the quintessential ingredient of “straw” to make bricks. They are scouring Egypt for “stubble” instead of straw. Let’s unpack a bit allegorically. Israel points to the church in dual application. Egypt is emblematic of the WORLD. Pharaoh, ruler of Egypt, figures the GOD OF THIS WORLD, THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD, or Satan. He is a cruel taskmaster as we serve the world, the flesh, and the devil in bondage to sin. The numerics of the verse are quite telling. 5=death. 18=6 and 6 and 6 or 666 antichrist. 

Watch this 18:18 (666 and 666): 

Ezekiel 18:18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

1 Kings 12:11 And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 

Of note is that scorpions typify devils (Luke 10:18 or 666 through verse 19).

God can use that cruel bondage of the hard taskmaster to cause folks to seek Him (though most refuse): 

Psalms 107:10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Ps 107:11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: 

Ps 107:12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

Ps 107:13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

Ps 107:14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

Ps 107:15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

This is the goodness of God that leads to repentance. 

Ecclesiastes 4:1 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

Proverbs 13:15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Satan is a CRUEL TASKMASTER. You are building his kingdom when you are not building the kingdom of God (wood, hay, and stubble per 1 Cor. 3). I’ve watched so many good people go aside after the world, the flesh, and the devil. Many, many, many people that I/we loved dearly and discipled for many moons are back in cruel bondage. They literally think they are off to “freedom” but they are in cruel bondage to Satan rather than Jesus’ easy yoke and rather than yoked with believers (versus unbelievers). An unequal yoke is like if you were a strong ox yoked up to a pig. You would go IN CIRCLES. Just like Israel went in 40 (testing/trials in numerics) years of CIRCLES in the WILDERNESS OF SIN (hint hint). They started saying they wanted back in Egypt (many are heading back to Egypt/worldliness). 

2 Peter 2:18-20 states: 

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

The Yoke is said to be DESTROYED because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27). The NIV says "broken." Well, Satan can mend it again. But nay, IT IS DESTROYED. ESV (666)? "...The yoke will be broken because of the fat." NAY, BUT *DESTROYED.* 

Matthew 11:28 states that Jesus’ yoke is easy, and His burden is light. The anointing destroys the yoke (Isaiah 10:27). Will you FLEE EGYPT, PHARAOH, and that cruel bondage and serve Jesus this day? –r <3
