05/02 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)

Genesis 5:2 (KJB) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

PACKED AND LOADED. Let’s unpack and unload just a bit. 

Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Note that ADAM called her “Eve” and this is perfectly fine and God-ordained. BUT, OF SPECIAL NOTE, God did not call her Eve, but refers to them as “ADAM.” Don’t get me wrong. We know from Genesis 4:1, 2 Cor. 11:3, and 1 Timothy 2:13 that “Eve” is used by the Holy Ghost narrative – please understand. Yet Genesis 5:2 (Focus passage) says that God called THEIR NAME “ADAM.” 

Satan MUST attack this. It establishes quite the PRECEDENCE. To this very day, WOMEN TAKE ON THE NAME OF THEIR HUSBAND. Unless (ahem) the FemiNazi’s reign (see Isaiah 3:12). I talked to a young lady once who was about to marry (both their first marriage), and I inquired, “What will your NEW name be?” She said she wasn’t changing her name because the divorce rates are so high and why go through all the trouble changing your name if you will just have to change it back? I advised her she was defeated before stepping into the ring. Satan is warring against marriage. She was divorced in LESS THAN ONE YEAR. Selah.  

God called their name ADAM. 

Corrupt Counterfeit “bibles” (666) assault this verse as is Satan’s Modus Operandi from the beginning. The NLT says “human” there. The NKJV says “mankind” etc. and so on. 

This is not a KING JAMES EXCLUSIVE rendering though the King James made it famous. Wycliffe in 1395 has “Adam.”  The Geneva Bible 1587 had “Adam.” On and on. 

Male and female become ONE FLESH. And God calls that ONE FLESH "ADAM." 

We know from Ephesians 5 (and 1 Cor. 15, etc.) that Adam is a TYPE OF CHRIST. We know Eve is a TYPE OF THE CHURCH. 

Since the moon is a type of the church (SOS 6:10, etc.) reflecting the glory of the Sun (type of Christ in John 1, Mal. 4, Ps. 19, etc.), and planetary bodies and their moons are named with specific names, what, Dear friends, IS THE NAME OF THE MOON? It wouldn’t be simply “moon” would it? Selah?  

What is the NAME OF THE CHURCH IN THE BIBLE? What are the local churches called in the Bible? 

What is the NAME OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST IN THE SCRIPTURES? 

Is it a horrible breech of etiquette that Christ did NOT INTRODUCE HIS ESPOUSED BRIDE BY NAME  or is it that as God called Adam AND EVE “Adam” (see Gen. 5) that we are CALLED BY HIS NAME? Could this be why Saul of Tarsus was told he was persecuting CHRIST when he went from “house to house” to persecute the CHURCH? Is Christ’s body MALE OR FEMALE? Why were the disciples called “CHRISTIANS” first at Antioch (Acts 11:26) and what is the worthy name by which we are called (James 2:7) and what is naming the name of Christ (2 Tim. 2:19) and why did God the Holy Ghost adopt the name ”Christian” in the Holy Ghost narrative of 1 Peter 4:16? 

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

I am a CHRISTIAN first and foremost. You name yourself after what is MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU.
