A 5:27 for 5/27…

Daniel 5:27 (KJB)   …Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

The context is the King of Babylon getting a pronouncement of judgment. Let us extract a bit and personally apply. 

The Bible “runs the universe” as the Justice scales are very prominently used with legal matters, etc. 

God is the JUDGE. The Powers that be are ordained of God. God has a pair of justice scales that are PERFECT. It/they are called THE WORD OF GOD/ THE LAW OF THE LORD. 

We know that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Everybody has done things (sins) of which they are now ashamed. Always be willing to forgive (keep the Luke 17 conditions in mind and church discipline in mind) and always extend mercy. This is not an invitation to endorse/embrace secret sins and destructive hypocrisy so prevalent among most professing Christians today. It is to say that we will all be judged before either the White Throne Judgment or the Judgment seat of Christ. Get ready. Many tests are going on right now. Usually the Master/Teacher is SILENT during the test time. Why? It is TEST TIME. HOWEVER, you can raised your hands and ASK the Teacher for clarification on the test. He will help. Yea, via His Provided strength and wisdom. 

But when weighed in the balances, will we be found wanting/lacking? 

We have an Advocate, Jesus Christ, The Righteous (1 John 2). Jesus is the PERFECT LORD AND SAVIOUR and He demands/commands that we know Him, and by His Spirit/grace walk with Him in holy obedience and devotion by the Gospel DAILY. 

Hebrews 9:27-28 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Notice that some are LOOKING FOR HIM. Those will fare well at His judgment. Most are NOT LOOKING FOR HIM. Selah. 

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Greasy Grace, Sloppy Agape teachers today mock the day of Judgment. They feel invincible. They eat, sleep, and drink the world, the flesh, and the devil (sin on steroids to the 666th power). How about YOU? NO FEAR OF GOD. Period. 

Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds…

1 Samuel 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Watch this 1611 (when the King James Bible came out): 

Proverbs 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.

The word of God is THE BALANCES. We will be weighed by the word of God. Do you KNOW THE WORD OF GOD? DO YOU KNOW JESUS (THE WORD OF GOD)? Turn off the TV and Pocket PC, and turn in the KJV. 

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
