P. U. S. H.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 is the first verse I thought of when I saw the date this morning! 🙂 Amen!!! I love this exhortation! -Hope 💙💙💙
Dear Dad’s Teaching for Today. *BLESSINGS* to you through this!
💥🔥⚠️☝️‼️🙏🛡️⚔️🏔️🔝🏹🎯✅📖🍯⌚💯🕊️
PRAY ALL DAY. P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens).
05/17 Daily Exhortation (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)…
A 5:17 for 5/17…
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJB) Pray without ceasing.
THREE SIMPLE WORDS. “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.”
This verse is ranked number FOUR in the shortest verses of the Bible. Despise not the day of small things (Zech. 4:10) and appreciate this small but power-packed verse. Ranked 4th, keep in mind that Four in Bible Numerics points to the world, creation, earth, etc. We must PRAY WITHOUT CEASING on this earth. The earth is God’s FOOTSTOOL, so we are EVER BEFORE THE THRONE ALL DAY EVERY DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR AND 24 HOURS A DAY AND 7 DAYS A WEEK. We should also be praying for the remnant church (first and foremost) in the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH. And, prayers should be made for ALL MEN, small and great, with no respect of persons.
Watch this QUINTESSENTIAL, PIVOTAL PARABLE but watch the heartbreaking statement of our Lord and Saviour at verse 8 (8 for New Beginning):
Luke 18: 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Note that we are to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY before God non-stop. This is called a DILIGENT seeking (Hebrews 11:6) which is faith (by the way, the New American Standard removes “diligently” in Hebrews 11:6). But of sad note is that WHEN JESUS COMES BACK, FAITH WILL BE AT AN ALL-TIME LOW. Why? Folks are allowing anything and everything to destroy their FAITH and EVEN CHRISTIANS are allowing such.
One of my personal favorites which is prayed *almost* daily:
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
There is a deliberate play on words (God is the ORIGINAL WORD-SMITH). We are to be ones that PRAY ALWAYS and because we pray always, we are accounted worthy (all glory to Jesus) to escape. And furthermore, we are to PRAY ALWAYS that we be accounted worthy to escape.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer…
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…
1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Incense is a type/symbol of prayer. The altar of incense was EVER-BURNING.
WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN, ONE THING WE WILL WISH WE HAD DONE MORE ON EARTH IS *PRAYING*.
Today, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING by God’s good grace and Spirit. Be a Mary (not a Martha, who was too busy to be at Jesus’ feet). Bring your requests before God. One year this time, I had day before prayed aloud with family 1 Peter 5:7 about casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. And God sent a LICENSE PLATE by us that said “HE KARES” !!!! We saw it again the other day! God CARES about you; be careful for nothing, but in EVERYTHING with prayer/supplication and with thanksgiving (Philip.4:6), casting all your care upon Him… -r <3

Yes, you definitely can't spend too much time praying. I like that acronym too.
