God Sets the PERIMETERS AND PARAMETERS. Not man. Not Satan.

 

05/22 DAILY EXHORTATION (Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)…

A 5:22 for 5/22, Remnant church scattered abroad... Greetings. 

Jeremiah 5:22 (KJB)  Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

I love this passage because it HUMBLES MAN TO DUST WHERE WE BELONG. We are but DUST AND ASHES, MERE MUD in the Maker’s Mighty hand. Apart from Christ (God), we are NOTHING. We can do NOTHING APART FROM HIM. We are GOD’S DIRT, YES, BUT DIRT. God can quicken dust by His glorious presence. But it is GOD WHICH QUICKENETH. 

In this focus passage, God wants us to FEAR HIM AND TREMBLE BEFORE HIM. Even reprobate DEVILS actually tremble at God (without the holy fear of God) per James 2:19 here: 

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Some modern believers don’t even have a devil’s faith. They are sinning it up, railing, lying, daring God, loving Hellywood, promoting rebellion, fornication, you name it, and not FEARING AND TREMBLING. At least the reprobated devils will FEAR AND TREMBLE with a tormenting fear of the wrath to come. Help us in this and save us from this untoward generation, O  Lord. 

⚠️❗DAILY JESUS WALK ALERT❗⚠️So, when I wrote this, the previous night, while driving and praying aloud with family, I prayed 1st John 5:18 and said, "BE IT UNTO US ACCORDING UNTO THY WORD, O LORD." LIttle did I know that my charge today would have THAT VERSE as the meme resurrected from last year. BUT JESUS THOUGHT OF *EVERYTHING.* Ah, don't you just LOVE THIS JESUS? ❤ 

God puts the PERPETUAL DECREES. God establishes the BOUNDS. The enemy can come in like a flood, but the SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall LIFT UP A STANDARD AGAINST HIM (Isaiah 59:19). Let the waves toss and roar, let the heathen (think Matthew 18 also) rage and imagine a vain thing, THEY SHALL NOT PREVAIL. God sets up the hedges of protection. God decrees the restraining orders from the Throne of the Universe. By Him do ALL THINGS CONSIST and all things are BEFORE HIM and upheld by the WORD OF HIS POWER. 

Psalm 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Philippians 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

FEAR GOD. Once more: FEAR GOD. Tremble at His word (see Isaiah 66 and 66 for the 66 books of the Bible), have him in godly fear and reverence, and know HE SETS THE BOUNDS. Let us relocate to Job 28 where the VULTURE CANNOT SEE and the FIERCE LION CANNOT TROD.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Job 3:23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
