From Blessing to Curse!

09/21 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)

Here’s a 9:21 to chew on 9/21…

Nehemiah 9:21 (KJB)  Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

Israel. In the Wilderness of SIN (hint – hint) going in circles. 40=Trials and Testing in Bible Numerics. Most failed the test. Not all failed the test per Hebrews 3:16 in the King James Bible (per the NIV, etc. they all rebelled; wrong). 

The Bible says to not be unequally yoked with others. An unequal yoke of say, an oxen and some weaker beast, would result in GOING IN CIRCLES. I have observed this time and time again for 3 decades. People partner up with spiritually weak folk, and GO IN CIRCLES. I've done it myself very regrettably. Yoked up with deceivers that we dragged in circles. No more. Learn to diligently ask questions and observe discerningly their answers to find out what they are hiding! OR PAY DEARLY for believing liars. Learn from others' mistakes. 

But notice something going on here in our focus passage... GOD IS SUSTAINING THEM and PROVIDING FOR THEM and BEING GRACIOUS TO THEM even in their WANDERING SIN. Sometimes, they even get some signs/revelations. Hmmmm...

Proverbs 29:13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.

We have called this THE DOCTRINE OF DIVINELY-DECIDED DELUSIONS for a quarter century (just to give it a name) and it is a Genesis to Revelation concept. 

We know that by Him “all things consist” (Col.1:17) and all things are upheld by the word of His power (Heb. 1:3), He sends rain and sun upon the just, unjust, evil, and good (Matthew 5:45), He feeds all flesh, etc…

Psalm 136:25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.

God provides the very breath that people use to blaspheme His Name!! 

Psalm 145:8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

BUT…. There is a CUT OFF point, a probationary period, until the grace of God is exhausted… 

Psalm 95:7-11 7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. 10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: 11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Simply put, just because God is “taking care” of you as He does all of mankind does not mean God’s stamp of approval and universal thumbs-up is upon your life. God is very longsuffering, but there is a cut off point where He starts HARDENING *YOUR* HEART.

"Yeah, but... They are getting by with their sins..." NO, THEY ARE NOT. Watch this:

Hosea 4:14 (KJB)  I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

God is sending STRONG DELUSION when it "seems" they are getting away.

Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Regardless of the climate, let us PRESS IN to the Promised Land by His power, grace, and Spirit, and LOVE HIM not as fair-weather friends, but LOVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WITH SINCERITY AND PASSION. 

May your Blessed Benefits not become Cursed Condemnation, -r <3
