9/3 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)… Here's a 9:3 for 9/3...

Nehemiah 9:3 (KJB)  And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

A “DAY” is 12 hours (night is 12 hours) per Jesus in John 11:9. So, “one fourth” part of the day is 3 hours. 

How many people today would STAND while reading the Bible for 3 hours? How many people would prostrate themselves to confess sins/pray and then stand up and worship for another 3 hours? 

Keep in mind this is an Old Testament Jew under the law. Per Hebrews, we, as the primarily Gentile church, have a BETTER covenant established upon BETTER promises with a BETTER High Priest (Jesus). WHAT ARE WE DOING as born again, New Testament Christians? 

1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all LONG SUFFERING and doctrine.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will NOT ENDURE sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…

Now watch the progression… 

2 Timothy 4:4 (KJB) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Note they voluntarily turn their ears from the truth of God’s word, AND SHALL BE (PASSIVELY; Something else is in control of them) turned unto fables!!!!

Professional Church sermonettes from the Sermon of the Month Club WILL NOT CUT IT. What happened to tarrying long at doctrine? 

This passive generation will not hesitate to watch a 2-3 hour movie or just flip their phone for 3-6 hours straight, but could you see them stand for 3 hours reading the Bible? And pray and worship for 3 hours? They would not even SIT for 3 hours of Bible. 

Ask God to fan to the flames of holy devotion to Him and to HIS WORD this 9/3 and be an EXCEPTION to this UNTOWARD and FROWARD generation. Instead, RUN toward God and His word with much longsuffering and doctrine. This Laodicean, lethargic, laid back, lazy generation are a bunch of hyper-suggestible easy-pickin’s for the Antichrist. MARK that down. I exhort you to BE ACTIVE-MINDED and "SEEK YE OUT OF THE BOOK OF THE LORD, AND READ." (Isaiah 34:16).
