Where are the HUSBANDMEN? 

09/20 Daily Exhortation (Heb. 3:13; 10:25; Matt.6:11; Luke 11:3)

For this 9/20, there is plenty in this 9:20 to ponder…

Genesis 9:20 (KJB)  And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard…

Let’s talk about what happened here. 

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

God likes to cycle things back through. See, Adam had 3 sons: Cain, Seth, and Abel. Cain was marked as a type of Antichrist, and Abel, a shepherd, with an acceptable sacrifice, whose blood cries out, is a type of Christ.

Noah had 3 sons: Japheth, Ham (brings in a type of Antichrist), and Shem (type of Christ with “blessed be the Lord God of Shem” and from whence the SEM or SEMITES come from).

Both Adam and Noah heard “be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth.” Noah is about to SIN via drunkenness. Both were naked when they sinned. Both sinned by partaking of the “vinetree” as the King James calls/reveals it. 

But let’s focus on that beautiful King James word “husbandman.” It is a compound word of “husband” and “man.” And it means an agriculturist/farmer. 

Psalm 128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

God has called men to be the GUARDIANS OF THE GARDEN, to be HUSBANDMEN. Men are called to be patriarchs. The Bible speaks of the “fruit of thy loins” and speaks of children as “seed.” 

Being a Gardening Guardian is a discipline. It is being godly (like God). See, my Father is a famous Gardener. 

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Matthew 13:37 He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man…

John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

Pray in this last stretch of this Maranatha Marathon that HUSBANDMEN ARISE. Husbands today are letting the fowls/Satan devour their seed. 

Malachi 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

One of Satan's strategies to destroy the marriage, family, the local church is to DESTROY HUSBANDRY. Selah. 

HUSBANDMEN, ARISE, in the Spirit of God, and GUARD THE GARDEN. Virtuous women, pray, supplicate, intercede. The serpent is trying to break the hedge and bite (Ecclesiastes 10:8).
