THE PERSONALITY of SCRIPTURE…

03/08 Daily Exhortation (Heb.3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)…

Let us SEE STRAIGHT this 3/8 in the following 3:8…

Genesis 3:8 (KJB)  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

Note that God’s voice is PERSONIFIED… This is the first time “voice” shows up in the Bible and the first time “presence” shows up. And, here is a CORRESPONDING 3:8…

Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Note in this parallel 3:8 (and both Genesis and Galatians start with a “G” and end with an “s” with an “i” in between by wild co-winky-dinky) that the scriptures FORSEE and the scriptures PREACH…

Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Note that the scripture CONCLUDES. 

The Bible reads you, friend, the Bible highlights in you, the Bible takes notes on you. The Bible is studying you, friend.

Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

The scripture was SAYING things to Pharaoh. BINGO. 

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The scriptures will JUDGE YOU ONE DAY. After all, Jesus IS THE WORD OF GOD (see John 1:1; 1 John 1, 1 John 5, etc.)…

Deuteronomy 4:33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Deuteronomy 5:25-26 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.

De 5:26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

You don’t put the word on trial, it puts you on trial. 

Psalm 105:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

On and on and on I could go here, but question for you. Do you spend time with the WORD OF GOD? Do you fellowship with it? Do you reverence it? Do you fear it? Do you let it JUDGE YOU, discern your thoughts and intents, read you, study you? God’s word is an extension of HIMSELF (the Spirit behind the paper and ink). LOVE the LIVING WORD OF GOD TODAY, -r <3
