TIMES OF REFRESHING. 

03/19 DAILY EXHORTATION (Heb. 3:13;10:25;Matt.6:11;Luke 11:3)

Daily Jesus Walk: When writing this - the day before, at 3:19 PM, God ensured I saw the time, and thought of Acts 3:19 times of refreshing from His presence WITHOUT KNOWING the next day would bring a resurrected exhortation with that very title! 

For 3/19, here is one of my all-time favorite 3:19’s to follow: 

Acts 3:19 (KJB)  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord... 

AAAHHHHHH. Times of REFRESHING. God’s presence brings a refreshing TRUE NORTH wind and the breath of God (John 20) which is the Holy Ghost. This only comes when you stay repentant with your SINS BLOTTED OUT. Holiness brings the Holy Spirit presence and vice versa. 

God’s presence overrides the wearing down tactics of the devil/antichrist spirit of our day (Dan.7:25). Don’t be weary in well doing, but know we will reap of the Spirit of God as the flesh is put down/crucified daily (see Galatians 5)…

Consider this 3:19 as well…

Genesis 3:19 (KJB) In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

You see, we are but MERE MUD IN THE MAKER’S MIGHTY HAND. The Potter is spinning the wheel. Due to the curse of the fall of man, work is harder. There was work BEFORE THE FALL. Work is not a curse. We will work for all eternity entering into REST (paradox but glorious). There will be no more “sweat.” But we are but DUST AND ASHES. And thusly, we get weary, and DUST NEEDS TO BE QUICKENED. 

What better way to bring the HOLY GHOST QUICKENING than via the HOLY WORD OF GOD? The Psalmist, David, so aptly put it in the longest chapter of the longest book all about the word of God: 

Psalm 119:25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Psalm 119:107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word.

Psalm 119:154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

You see, many fail to realize this, but God makes HIS WORD and HIS PRESENCE be inseparable… The Spirit behind that PAPER AND INK is GOD’S SPIRIT. Let the Holy Ghost wind rustle those leaves of Bible pages. 

The FIRST MENTION of “the Voice of the Lord” is in the same verse as the FIRST MENTION of “the Presence of the Lord” and the word of God is PERSONIFIED: 

Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden…

Ephesians 5:18-19 says to be FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT and sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Colossians 3:16-17 is the PARALLEL PASSAGE, which says to LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL RICHLY IN YOU and sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. God is saying:

WORD OF CHRIST DWELLING RICHLY IN YOU = FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT (and vice versa). 

Friends, are you washed in the water of the word this day (Eph. 5; Heb.10:22, etc.) with the Spirit rivers of living water flowing from you (John 7, etc.) with the REFRESHING PRESENCE OF THE LORD (Acts 3:19)? I exhort you, crave/desire this with every fiber of your being IN TRUE REPENTANCE. God will then grant it. –r <3
